Well That Didn’t Happen…

I was just finishing up some chores around the house and was ready to zip off to the range when Mrs. Weer’d informed me that she had noticed some blood in that way that women are to expect about once a month under normal circumstances.

Of course pregnancy is NOT one of those circumstances. So well called the doctor, and they suggested we come in and get checked out.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG story short (if only one could do that in the midst of the long story), Mrs. Weer’d is 100% fine, and the doctors have no idea where the blood came from, but its certainly not any of those things pregnant women should be concerned about….and LaWeer’da is in BIG trouble! I sent her to her room for the next two months. She’s GROUNDED!

Frankly both of us are shot now, so range-trip has been re-scheduled for tomorrow.

That should go better.

100% fine or not my fingers are still crossed!

“Spotting” has happened off-and-on with EVERY one of my wife’s pregnancies (4 so far). If it’s not gushing, it’s probably not a big deal, but given what’s at stake it’s still a good idea to get it checked out.

    Glad everything’s OK. 🙂

WOW! Four? You have quite the crop going! Thanks for your experience, it meant the world to both of us!

The first two were for us, but the last two were surrogacies for other couples, so we only have two at home. Any future pregnancies will be for us, though; we’re not done yet! LOL!

Most things that can happen during pregnancy, we’ve experienced ourselves or know someone who has. We personally know two sets of “extremely premature” twins – one set born at 26 weeks, and the other at 28 weeks (that’s 6 and 6.5 months, for the non-math-inclined) – who both have some issues but overall are doing quite well (the 26-week twins recently celebrated their 2nd birthday, and are about what you’d expect for normal 2-year-olds). Thus, I can say that even if she’s born at 7 months, LaWeer’da would probably be OK.

The VAST majority of the time, everything works out just fine – after a short sense of “PANIC!!!” – but feel free to drop me an e-mail if you want. 😉

Glad everyone’s OK. Pregnancies, especially the first, can be scary. Keeping thoughts and prayers going for y’all.
