Little LaWeer’da has taken to fighting naps when she gets tired.
Still sleep always wins.
I got thinking of the old Military saying: “You can run, but you’ll just die tired”
I said to her “You can fight the nap, but you’ll just fall asleep tired!”
I guess that’s kinda the point….
Fun fact RE: fighting sleep. The same thing happens when you turn 60. (your mileage may vary)
Of course when you’re a wee lass, you don’t have a cantaloupe-sized prostate or concerns about who will change your nappy and plant a kiss upon your tush. Hell, at that age, you might actually like strained spinach. (it’s not bad peppered with squirrel brisket and jalapenos, washed down with cheap whiskey)
Old farts like me are jealous of the innocent sleep. Anywhere, anytime…just fine. (no extra charge for the drool, and no bail required) Days long gone…
