Jerry is known for Revolver shooting, but he’s also a wizard with a 1911, among other guns.
Both my 1911s came to me with Full-length guide rods:
Both rods are in the trash somewhere. Of course they aren’t 100% JMB approved parts. They have extended safeties, beavertail grip safeties with the “Speed Bump”, quality sights that were unknown in the early 20th century, as well as S&W’s external extractors which weren’t for the original 1911s, but you might have trouble arguing that John Browning didn’t prefer extractors like that.
The carry gun has a Scandium alloy frame and slim profile grips, which make it a joy to carry. Still the parts I took out did nothing for the guns, the parts I put in simplified and made them better.
Saw Jerry on the TV the other day shooting the IDPA Backup Gun match. He actually shot the snubby faster than the autoloader.
I don’t think I’d want to arm wrestle him. His forearms must be made out of steel.
I’ve shaken his hand! Let’s just say, Jerry doesn’t need any help opening a pickle jar!
His forearms are like steel cables!
