“Gun Death” Body in a Landfill

Not a “Gun Death”

Authorities have identified the young woman whose body was found in a western Pennsylvania landfill and say she was fatally stabbed.

Another great example where the bad people don’t need guns to do bad things.

In Western Colorado news, the guy who was convicted ten years ago for killing his wife and daughter and throwing them out with the trash (if I remember correctly they found parts of his wife in the landfill but none of his daughter) has had his trial thrown out because of an unbiased juror and is going to go to retrial. Smug bastard, he is. Hopefully they move the trial elsewhere because there isn’t a single person left in the valley here who doesn’t hate his guts. Be a shame to have to throw out ANOTHER trial in ten years.

This murder happened about 10 miles from me. If my memory’s okay, the assailant was lying in wait for someone to kill in a nearby apartment where he’d been staying. Gina Burger happened along. Burger was lured into the apartment. She was allowed to smoke a cigarette before the assailant stabbed her to death. The assailant and his accomplice, the woman who leased the apartment, took the body to the dumpster in a folding playpen or crib.

This was a random, no-motive thrill killing. The prosecution is in its early stages, but the prosecutor said he’ll be asking for the death penalty
