“Gun Death” More Falling TVs

This “Gun Death” almost deserves its own tag.

A 7-year-old South Texas boy has died after a television fell on him while he was at a day care facility in Corpus Christi.

And of all places, a DAY CARE? ….. Yeah, I just can’t go on any more from that….

  1. Geodkyt says:

Kids getting killed by falling TVs has become fairly (by accidental death standards) common with flat screens. They just aren’t as stable sitting on a shelf as the older CRT units, and frequently are poorly mounted when on walls.

CRTs are also very front-heavy, making them impossible to carry in any other position than screen to belly, otherwise they fall right out of your arms. It’s almost as if they were designed to flatten active kids.
