So I found this image on Joan Peterson’s Pinterest page:
The antis say they aren’t coming for our guns, but they idealize mass confiscation and destruction of private arms.
And Australia? I don’t know about Mass Shootings, but it is NOT a safer place overall.
And what did Australian antis do once they had reduced gun ownership to a shred of what it once was? This:
Those are PLASTIC knives…you know the ones that we give to PRISONERS! Yet the Aussies have to show ID, and I assume a kid with one of these in his lunch bag will get in trouble if he wants to cut his meat.
They ARE coming for our guns, and you are a FOOL if you think it will stop there!
**UPDATE** From Miguel we have this link:
You can be searched for knives in a public place anywhere, anytime, with and without notice.
If you are 16 and over and get caught carrying a controlled weapon such as a knife, you face an on the spot fine of $1,000, or you may have to go to court and face a fine of over $14,000 or one year imprisonment.
This penalty is doubled if you are inside or within 20 metres of a pub, club or bar….If you are under 18 you will no longer able to buy any type of knife, including kitchen knives or knives for school or work. To do so is against the law and you will face a $239 on the spot fine, or you could face court and a fine of over $1,400.
Anyone who knowingly sells a knife or other controlled weapon to a minor faces a fine of over $2,300.
The following links provide specific information for parents, retailers, teachers and young people.
Yep so having a plastic knife in your lunch bag is a CRIME! Also note no 4th Amendment rights either!

I read this one all the way through waiting for the punch line…didn’t find it.
I saw that too, I thought it was one of those joke articles that’s really talking about gun control, but apparently it’s serious as far as I can tell.
Heh…..
Australia’s gun ownership rate is back to the original rate.
http://sydney.edu.au/news/84.html?newsstoryid=10824
And the “gun murder” rate hasn’t gone up…..Must not be the guns.
Oh that’s REALLY interesting! Writing a post right now, so I may tie that in!
And I think our rate is something like 3.2/100K, not 10 but I can’t find the reference right now. Basically gun sales have doubled in the last 10 years here and murder has dropped from 6.4 to 3.2 or so. . . 50% drop. . .
