If it Saves Just One Life!

Last night on the Squirrel Report we talked about Diana DeGette’s ignorance of the laws she supports and the items she supported banning which I’m happy to see is getting a good deal of play. Those who support gun control are either ignorant or sinister, and in many cases a healthy dose of both.

Still Mrs. Weer’d and I were just talking about THIS gaffe:

Saying “You might be dead anyway” in response to people wanting guns for self protection. Mrs. Weer’d noted that they seem to only care about saving “Just one life” when it goes towards something THEY personally favor.

Of course we take it one step further looking at the work of Professor Gary Kleck, and data collected by the FBI, not only do guns save lives, but the lives saved are GREATER than the lives lost.

Just like “Gun Death” this is just one of their adjusted metrics that they skew to only go one way, as they ignore what they CLAIM to care about.

    “You’d probably be dead anyway”

My response to the bint would have been “Maybe, maybe not, but who the hell are you to deny me a fighting chance?”

    • Weerd Beard says:

Yeah but “Gun Death” is their life blood, and they constantly claim that defensive gun uses are rare to non-existent. By letting good people die by the hands of evil ones they propagate their status quo.

  2. Archer says:

“No one with good intentions wants to disarm other people; only those who know their actions will be resisted want to render people unable to resist.” — Rob Crawford, in a comment over at Thirdpower’s

I might give her the benefit of doubt on ignorance – it is rampant among those sharing the gun-banner ideology – until her comment, “You’ll probably be dead anyway”, (not “might”; “probably”) said with a f#$%ing condescending SMILE.

The old gentleman supports gun rights, so she doesn’t mind if he dies; like Jim Carrie Carrey (the struck version was my fingers on auto-pilot; I’ll let it stay :)), she believes gun owners’ lives aren’t worth defending or protecting. That’s pure evil.

Now you can visualize what Joan Peterson would be like if she was ever elected to Public Office.

But something else has hit me today that we all might need to think about. Just WHO is writing these Gun Laws, and WHY are they so Poorly Written? 90% of them would not pass Constitutional Muster if they were ever subject to an Honest Court. Yet beside the Obvious Stupidity of the Lazy Bums who can’t tell the Difference between a Clip and a Magazine, the Bills that they aren’t reading seem to have been written from some Freshman Poli-Sci Class at a local Community College. During an after class party at the $5 a Pitcher Night at the local bar. After the 3rd Round.

I mean it’s one thing to shove the Bills into the face of one’s Evil Minions and say “Don’t Read it, just Pass it!” But it’s entirely different to hand them Bills that don’t make sense and contradict themselves within the pages of the same Bill.

So what’s the Big Plan? If they think that ALL of America is Pressuring Congress to “Ban Guns NOW!”, then they are Blind to Reality. Ammo Sales alone make the point. Yet they do it anyway. And even if the “Elected Reps”are that Stooopid, the Man behind the Curtain shouldn’t be.

It’s like taking the local J.V. Football Team and putting them into the Super Bowl. It’s just so… Amateurish.
