There are several of us bloggers who have running theme projects going on our blogs to aggregate certain news items. I of course run the “Gun Death?” Files, Jay runs the Dead Goblin Count where he shows the benefits of personal protection firearms, specifically in the hands of non-police private citizens. Sean has a great series “Felons Behaving Badly” showing the problem with our justice system where vetted violent criminals are allowed to run wild and commit yet more and more violence.
I need to add to this list something I’ve been reading for a little while, but haven’t yet talked about here. Barron has a series he calls “SSCC” for “State Sponsored Criminal Count”, showing so-called “Public Servants” committing criminal acts. (Barron if there’s a better way to link that series let me know)
Most of the above projects are simply to raise awareness. The human mind seeks out patterns, and by nature wants to categorize things. We see this with certain agendas in the MSM, but not with others. That’s why we aggregate the stories we do. I would say SSCC fits under the “Sunlight is the Best Disinfectant”, bringing horrible behavior that the powers that be would rather we not see to light.
Well worth your reading!

I’ll second the recommendation. It’s shaping up to be a good and informative series.
I’ve let my “Campus Carry” series slide for a while, mainly because I don’t really actively search for things, I just post on what I stumble across. I should pick it up again.
Keep me posted if you get it running again, I’ll let everybody know!
Weer’d here is the better Link. I actually need to add this to my main links on my site as well. Other significant items with the series: First one that outlines criteria, and the submission form.
That criteria is in flux and if I have time this weekend I’m probably going to refine it a bit more. The Renton fiasco illustrated that it’s going to have to be a little less cut and dry and require some thought and investigation. The goals are at least one a day, if hear about one in your area, kick it to me through the form!
I’ll probably say it again next time I see you on GBC… Thanks for the link.
Hey, thanks for your good work! The link is updated, and I’ll be sure to send you a submission when I find one. BPD over the last few years have fallen on tough times so they’ve been behaving themselves (Having the BPD Brothel shut down, and the real political risk of the “Work Detail” racket, where Local cops are mandated to do at great expense what flaggers do cheaper and better in every other state)
