Gotta love the language police part of the “Progressive” Goal Post Moving:
First of all, Mr. … Ms. … um … “Van” doesn’t want to be referred to with a “gendered pronoun.” Not for nothing, but as wonderful as the English language is, we’re still working with a finite number of words here. Once you remove “he” and “she” from the mix, we’re pretty much left with “it.” And I’m fairly sure somebody is going to be offended by that. You’re sort of throwing a wet blanket on your future news coverage potential, pal.
Second, what’s up with this acronym BGLTQ? I’m leaving the full definition in the quoted text above because it certainly seems to come from a source which should know, but weren’t we supposed to not be using the “Q word” when referring to gay people? I thought that was pretty much verboten, at least for those not playing on that team. But now it’s part of the official public lexicon?
No, “Queer” is only OK when THEY use it. Its the same as naturally inoffensive terms like “Mentally Retarded”, “Cripple”, or “Midget”. The most shining example is the NAACP. The “CP” stands for “Colored People”, because when the group was founded “Colored” was the preferred Politically Correct term for those with dark skin. At that time “Black” was a crass and offensive term…now the goal posts have been flipped 180 degrees, and calling somebody from Kenya “Colored” will mark you as some peckerwood racist bumpkin, and “Black” is considered proper…unless the person doesn’t like that term and prefers something else.
You see even if you aren’t, you’re already a racist because that’s more convenient, as they hate you for who you are anyway!
This is why I always put quotes around “Progressive”, really progress is the opposite of any of this bullshit.
Now, Now…some of us “progressives” just prefer the term “liberal”… I find it to be a closer description of how I feel about things! 🙂
I mean what does progressive really mean anyway? Does it mean progres? Really it does not! What progress are we making? I think liberal is a better term, plus with liberal you can have various opinions on different topics and still be true to yourself…..
Or better yet, how about call me free-thinking…I like that better.
But the root word for “Liberal” is “Liberty”, which modern Liberals hate, but Classic Liberals fought the British army for.
“Liberal” is just another word poisoned by these creeps.
I have no problem with men who are attracted to men, with women who are attracted to women, with people who play on both teams, and so forth. Liberty means that you get to do what you enjoy; I get to do what I enjoy, and so long as no one is caused actual harm (I don’t mean offended, annoyed, disgusted, or other whiny-butt attempts at claiming harm), it’s all good. That being said, sex is a biological fact for the vast majority of multicellular organisms. XX = woman; XY = man. If Whosis objects to that, she may feel free to revert to a single-celled state, for all I care.

That’s what they are supposed to mean. Sadly some smucks don’t even know what the acronym means and filled in their own idiotic drivel.
And as someone that knows someone that is XXY chromosomed, not everyone fits into the current cultural system.
For people as asinine as she is…because NO ONE in their right mind goes to that extreme of worrying about pronouns, the term DUMBASS works just fine.
