“Gun Death” Vegan

Vegans are wrong! We’re SUPPOSED to eat meat, and we have been wearing animal skins and using animal products since our species has been worth a damn. Doesn’t stop certain people from being deadly wrong!

A young Florida mother has been arrested for allegedly refusing to take her dehydrated newborn to a hospital citing her strong vegan beliefs.

…The doctor told the mother that the newborn was suffering from dehydration and losing weight, according to police.

But instead of heading to Florida Hospital South for treatment as instructed, **REDACTED** took her baby home.

When police officers came knocking on her door, they say the 23-year-old refused to open up, forcing them to bring in a locksmith and break into her apartment.

When interviewed by police, the 23-year-old woman declared that she wanted to get a second opinion on her child’s condition from a ‘vegan’ doctor and was interested in a holistic treatment.

According to investigators, **REDACTED** admitted that she did not give the formula provided to her by her child’s doctor because she believed the ingredients came from animals, and instead she bought an organic soy formula, the local station Click Orlando reported.

When asked if her doctor had confirmed that the plant-based formula was appropriate for her baby, **REDACTED** allegedly replied that she knew it was safe because it came from a Whole Foods Market.

Thankfully the baby will live, and hopefully will be given to a loving and SANE family! This was nearly a death…but not a “Gun Death”.

Also don’t shop at Whole Foods, their food is pricy and crap!

More Good News from the New Gun Control Capitol of the US

As predictable as the rising sun:

A wave of violence swept New York City over the weekend as 21 people were shot, four of them fatally, authorities said Monday.

The shootings, which included the separate woundings of 10- and 12-year-old boys, made for the third weekend in June that at least a dozen people were shot, police said. In the last week of June, 35 people were shot, down from 39 gunshot victims the same week a year ago, according to New York Police Department statistics. A breakdown between those killed and those wounded was not immediately available.

This year, 611 people have been shot in the city compared with 554 for the same period last year.

Thank Goodness that ironically named SAFE act is keeping all those people “safe”.

I thought states and cities with higher Gun Control had lower “Gun Death”. Isn’t that why they passed those laws?

The really sad thing is when anti-gun activists push more of this crap they talk about the high gun violence rate of the United States. OK the US isn’t all that bad, but they have their magical little sorting hat that picks which nations are “Third World” and what nations are applicable. Still the sad fact is that in places with lower gun control there are a lot less dead bodies, but the failure of states and cities with high gun control is rolled in as if it’s relevant.

Thanks, I’m for REPEALING crappy laws, not adding them on!

“Gun Death” Exorcism

Just crazy!

A Maryland mother stabbed two of her children to death and wounded two others while attempting an exorcism, authorities said.

…Police said they found the four children Friday morning after a neighbor called 911 to report suspicious activity at the home. The neighbor reported seeing a car with a door open and a knife next to it.

Exorcism is a ritual aimed at defeating purported evil spirits or demons. Authorities did not provide additional details on why they suspected exorcism.

“Investigators have learned that the two defendants believed that they were performing an exorcism. The investigation into this motive and other aspects of the crime continue at this point,” police said.

I think the point of exorcism is to remove the evil spirit(s) so the host body can live on. Stabbing them to death seems counterproductive!

Of course the media doesn’t talk of “Mass Stabbings” because only “Gun Death” counts

Play Me Out: Didgeridoo

I used to have a didge. I could never circular breathe with it, but it really made me a monster at the Tuba.

I was never THIS good. Still since my daughter likes neat sounds, I’ve been thinking about buying (or building) another cheap PVC Didge to mess around with.

Really all you need is a length of PVC pipe and some bees wax to keep your lips from bleeding. Length and gauge will dictate the base sound. Still I don’t know about how to best get the harmonics to work out.

That is NOT Your Job, Barry!

So we have a President who obviously sees the law of the land as a mere hurdle for the “little People”. The American People don’t see it that way:

House Speaker John Boehner seeks “to compel the president to follow his oath of office” with a congressional lawsuit. It’s a good idea, but don’t expect it to stop this lawless president.

The Framers provided no real recourse against a lawless chief executive beyond Congress’ power to impeach. And that power may well go on full display next year if Republicans gain control of the Senate and retain the House.

But what to do in the meantime? Last week’s unanimous Supreme Court ruling against President Obama’s recess appointments won’t stop his power grabs next month or next year. As Charles Krauthammer observes, “This administration does not learn constitutional lessons. It continues marching until it meets resistance.”

Well, resistance is arriving — resistance that might, in fact, be a prelude to impeachment next year.

The President’s Response?

Images of the Antis: Evil Looks

Now this one is amusing:

Now most images of firearms by anti-gun cartoonists are comically inaccurate. The drawings can be little more than scribbles, to highly detailed renditions. But most of the images are so technically inaccurate that anybody with a rudimentary understanding of firearms will laugh at the silly image.

Now this cartoon, it appears the cartoonist decided to actually look at real-life pictures before putting pen to paper, and the drawings are decent. Not perfect, but you can clearly tell that the lower “Bad” rifle is a Kalashnikov pattern rifle, likely an AK-74. Still the “Good” rifle is very obviously a Henry Rifle.

I wonder why the author decided this rifle would be the “iconic” image of a “Good” rifle, given that they are essentially a relic or collector’s item, in both the original and reproductions.

Now the irony comes that this very rifle is being discussed in the proposed New Jersey magazine ban. The new law would make it illegal to own ANY feeding device that is capable of holding more than 10 rounds. If the device is permanently attached to the rifle then the firearm itself becomes contraband.

Under this new law it would be perfectly legal to own an AK-74 so long as the owner only used 10 round magazines, but the Henry would become impossible to own.

I doubt the cartoonist sees the irony in this.

“Gun Death” Softdrinks

Not even alcoholic drinks!

A Tennessee couple faces murder charges for allegedly punishing the man’s 5-year-old daughter by making her gulp excessive amounts of water and grape soda, leading to her death, authorities said.

…”She was allegedly force-fed so much liquid that it caused the sodium level in her body to go down and caused her brain to swell,” he said.

In addition to drinking more than 2 liters of fluids in about two hours, she also suffered other forms of punishment, Bell told the affiliate. He did not get into specifics.

The child became unresponsive, and the pair drove her to the hospital on New Year’s Day in 2012.

Two days later, she was declared brain dead and removed from life support.

She took two sodas without asking, and was punished by being forced to drink so much water that she died from it! So sick!

Hey, but not a “Gun Death”

“Gun Death” Stabbing Over Internet Myth

This is just sick!

Two 12-year-old Wisconsin girls were charged as adults Monday for allegedly stabbing a friend 19 times after acting out bizarre instructions from an Internet site featuring horror stories, authorities said.

…The unidentified 12-year-old victim was fighting for her life in a hospital Monday, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

According to the criminal complaint, one girl held the victim down and the other stabbed her in the torso, legs and arms, intending to kill her to become “proxies” of a character on the site Creepypasta Wiki, which posts short stories “designed to unnerve and shock the reader.”

*REDACTED* told investigators that she introduced *REDACTED2* to the site in December, and that Geyser later decided they needed to kill someone to prove they were worthy of “Slenderman,” the alleged leader of Creepypasta.

Slenderman? This is friggin 4chan crap! This would be like me in the 80s killing somebody so I could unlock the gate of Castlevania! So sad, but not a “Gun Death”

Neat Catch!

Not what he was fishing for, and not going to make him the money he was looking for, but cool none the less!

Photos of the gruesome-looking goblin shark a fisherman accidentally caught last month drew attention as scientists caught a rare glimpse of the deep sea creature.

But wait, there’s more.

Now another marine species shown in the photographs has scientists talking.

Many deep sea isopods showed up in the pictures of what fisherman Carl Moore caught in his net, said Andrew Thaler, a marine biologist in California.

Cool stuff. The Isopods were likely feasting on something big and dead on the bottom, and the goblin shark was after the isopods because they are big and full of meat.

Still he was after shrimp and they were not them.

Are Your Public Servants Housebroken?

This story just gets me scratching my head:

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency asked its employees in Denver this year to stop leaving a dangerous pollutant – human feces – in office hallways, according to a report that circulated on Wednesday.

Managers in the EPA’s Region 8 office in Denver, Colorado emailed their entire staff to plead a cease-and-desist case for whoever had been pooping and fleeing.

Government Executive reported that EPA Deputy Regional Administrator Howard Cantor addressed ‘several incidents’ in the office building at 1595 Wynkoop Street in Denver.

Employees, he wrote, had been clogging toilets with paper towels. And there was ‘an individual placing feces in the hallway’ outside a restroom.

OK, let’s delve into the realm of scatology for a bit. As a cis-male I will note that the world is my urinal. Peeing on anything from the office ficus, firing it over the rail of a ship at sea, or writing my name in the freshly fallen snow is a relatively easy task. When dealing with waste disposal of the other operation things get much more difficult. In Western society we are not accustom to squatting and I will say most of us do not have the musculature and coordination to leave solid waste behind with such coordination or ease. Thankfully Western establishments have furnishings designed to accept number two operations. These units (called “Toilets”) are also filled with water to ease removal of the unwanted material and to keep odor down.

To place feces in a common area one would need to squat in the area, or somehow crap and relocate the waste from a more private location, including fishing it out of a toilet. This really starts sounding a lot like work, yet there it is!

These are people working for the US Government!
