Tiny Gun Ammo

Not ideal to be trusting your life with a .22 LR, and personally I see the NAA Mini revolver as more of a novelty than anything else. If I cannot carry ANY OTHER GUN than a .22 I can carry my Beretta 21A which is in every way better than the little revolver, but is still damn tiny.

Useful ballistic tests!

And remember, with .22 LR you are not getting bullet expansion, and you are NOT poking much of a hole in your attacker, so what’s worth shooting once, is worth shooting every shot you have on you on. Another reason to prefer the 7+1 DA/SA Beretta over the tiny single-action revolver.

Still shooting micro .22 guns is a ton of fun, and would be MORE fun if stores had ammo on the shelves.

Good to Know!

An iPhone5 can stop a .22LR bullet.

Pretty well too! Even if that round got out of the phone it lost enough energy that it probably wouldn’t do some serious damage!

Fun stuff!

“Gun Death” More Cars

Not just any car, but an “Evil Assault SUV!”

The driver of a stolen SUV that flipped on a bridge between Cincinnati and northern Kentucky, killing a 4-year-old inside, has been charged with vehicular homicide and theft.

Police say 43-year-old *REDACTED* of Cincinnati stole the SUV from a relative Saturday night and was driving while impaired when she crossed the center line on the Clay Wade Bailey Bridge. *REDACTED* hit an oncoming car and a barrier, causing the SUV to flip on its top.

Of course all cars must be registered and the drivers licensed when driving on public roads, but that does precisely what, when the vehicle is stolen by a drunk family member?

But cars aren’t like guns because guns are different!!! Doesn’t matter if more people are killed in vehicle accidents than by gunfire, only “Gun Death” counts!

“Gun Death” Curling Iron

Remember guns are bad because they are DESIGNED TO KILL!!!

A New York man who told police he “just snapped” and killed his girlfriend with his fists and a curling iron while visiting her college dorm has been found guilty of murder.

But a curling iron is designed to style hair, so if somebody kills another person with one then it’s just an anecdote! GUNS ARE DESIGNED TO KILL!!! That way only “Gun Death” Counts.

Protecting the Neighborhood

This is a feel-good story:

A vigilante father-daughter duo chased down a truck full of alleged thieves they caught tearing out of their driveway.

Video of the dangerous ride shows the suspects ramming the victims’ car in their attempt to escape the Houston family.

The plastic surgeon believes he caught the suspects in the act as he came home from a business trip. He saw a pair of men in a red truck backing out of his driveway, according to KHOU-TV.

He called 911, but instead of waiting for the cops, he and his daughter decided to take matters in their own hands and gave chase.

… With his daughter at the wheel, the dad whipped out a cellphone to document their crackdown on neighborhood crime.

But then the chase takes a violent turn when the video shows the suspects turning around and speeding right toward them. The daughter frantically backs up as the father looks around, hoping a passerby will witness the incoming vehicle.

The video ends as the red truck crashes right into the pursuing vehicle. After the encounter, the family recovered several stolen belongings from the truck.

Even though police do not condone vigilantism, the father could care less because his neighborhood has experienced several burglaries.

First up, whoever decided to smatter “vigilantism” all over this article needs to be hit over the head with a dictionary!

VIGILANTE

a member of a volunteer committee organized to suppress and punish crime summarily (as when the processes of law are viewed as inadequate); broadly : a self-appointed doer of justice

This is not a pair of “Vigilantes”, these are two good citizens HELPING the police! Let’s replay the scenario to the side of the milquetoast: “Family comes home and sees a strange truck pulling out of their driveway in their neighborhood that has had a rash of break-ins. They call 911 and give as much information as they can. Police show up and say “Which way did they go?”. Family points in the direction they last saw the suspect vehicle, and the police drive that way until they get sick of it. Two days later another house gets broken into. Rinse, repeat.

Instead they contact the police and kept an eye on the suspects until police could arrive. Now this is NOT without danger, and the family’s car was severely damaged and the daughter suffered minor injuries. It could have gone MUCH worse. Still it didn’t, the criminals were caught and hopefully will get a solid sentence for their crime that day, and possibly the police can link them to other crimes in the area.

Yes they took a risk following the vehicle, but think about it broadly. Getting broken into and your stuff stolen is horrible. It’s a violation of your castle, and a violation of the safety of where you sleep. They not only got their stuff back, but they probably prevented several more of these robberies. Weigh your cost/benefit. I would say everybody in the area is EXTREMELY happy things played out the way they did, because it means they can sleep safer in their beds.

The father also was smart and took a cellphone video of the event, follow the link above to watch it.

These are not “Vigilantes” they are just good people doing a selfless act!

“Gun Death” No-Knock

I should have done this one sooner, since all the blogs have talked about it:

Habersham County Sheriff Joey Terrell now is talking about the high-risk warrant service that resulted in burns to a 2-year-old child early Wednesday.

The child was burned when narcotics agents, assisted by members of the Habersham Special Response Team, used a distraction device as they entered a home at 182 Lakeview Heights Circle outside Cornelia . . .

“According to the confidential informant, there were no children,” Terrell said. “When they made the buy, they didn’t see any children or any evidence of children there, so we proceeded with our standard operation.”

Their intel said there were children there, just like sometimes their intel says the dealer operates out of 43 Elm Street, when in fact the warrant had a typo and it was 34 Elm…

Generally no-knock raid deaths are police shooting people for minor crimes, in this case it was a flash grenade. Of course cops in black fatigues with body armor, tactical gear, grenades, and full-auto weapons being deployed from a military surplus APC never counts for “Gun Death” because the cops are so “Highly Trained”.

Well There’s That….

Ok then:

Police in northeastern Ohio say an 82-year-old man was cited for flying a kite while he was naked.

Officers say they received calls earlier this week about a bald man without any clothes who was flying a kite at the Summit County Fairgrounds.

Police say the man initially denied being naked, but he had to search through a pair of pants on the passenger seat when he was asked for identification.

He was cited for public nudity and asked not to return to the fair grounds again. He was back the next day fully clothed and was cited for criminal trespass.

Ever notice when somebody gets cited for public nudity it’s always an old wrinkled fella, or some fat hairy dude? Never a hot 20-something with a toned body!

Images of the Antis: Just Stupid

Ok first just a short-sighted bit:

Ahh that whole “Weapons of War!” canard! Nice! Yep because the rifles we have are EXACTLY the same as the military is carrying in the middle-east! Or maybe they’re saying the US is a War zone? Well except for the War on Drugs, and the War on Poverty, and the “War on Women”, no.

Also while you’ll hear from idiot military Brass who probably can just barely qualify with their issue arms about how we need more gun control, I think most vets not only A) want an AR-15 and a pistol close at hand just because they’re comfortable with weapons and B) Know the difference between an AR-15 and an M4 Carbine. They aren’t scared of guns, they know its just a tool, and it’s the man behind the gun that is the thing that needs to be looked at.

Next is this childish scribble:

Man just when I’d thought I’d seen all the caricatures that made Florida look like a penis, then there’s this! And the Pan-Handle appears to be the HOG end here.

Now the tag at the bottom is #remembertrayvon who was justifiably shot. Given that I assume the other cases were also ruled by police or a court of law (tho it wouldn’t surprise me if murder cases that are pending trial were also counted, because if you’re anti-gun you can’t play fair!) these were JUSTIFIABLE homicides. These are people trying to kill others who got killed in self defense.

If they so happened to be 16 and 17 year old career criminals like Trayvon Martin, that doesn’t bother me any more than if they’re in their 30s.

Remember anti-gun people are also anti self-defense.

“Gun Death” Spree Killing

No guns, no media coverage:

An Illinois man has been convicted of murder in the beating deaths of four people, including a toddler, during a week-long two-state crime spree in which eight people died in June 2008.

…Authorities said all eight of the victims appeared to have been chosen at random and had been bludgeoned or hacked to death.

Now if he had used a gun, this would be national news, but he didn’t. When Ted Bundy beat women to death at random it was HUGE news, but today only “Gun Death” counts!
