Too strange

A woman who died this week after going into cardiac arrest at a beauty salon had undergone a cosmetic medical procedure that involved a part of her body being “augmented by injection,” Long Beach police said.

Long Beach police said that on Wednesday at about 12:20 p.m. they were called to Areli’s Beauty Salon in the 2100 block of Pacific Avenue because someone was in cardiac arrest “under suspicious circumstances.”

Authorities allege that 45-year-old Sandra Perez Gonzalez was renting space in the salon under the pretense of giving massages, but instead provided butt and lip augmentation and “vampire face lifts” — a procedure in which a person’s own blood cells are injected into their face — without a license.

Authorities were first told that the woman who died, 36-year-old Hamilet Suarez of Long Beach, had come in for a massage but had medical issues before her session began. Detectives said they later uncovered that Gonzalez had been renting a room not just for massages, but for other purposes as well.

“We can confirm that the female who did pass … did receive a cosmetic medical procedure … in getting a certain part of her body augmented by injection,” police Sgt. Megan Zabel told KTLA-TV.

The snow was falling heavily as Min Lin, pregnant and nearing her due date, and her husband loaded groceries into their car on Thursday in a parking lot in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Nearby, a small bulldozer ran back and forth, furiously working to keep the lot behind Fei Long Market clear of snow.

Then the machine, backing up, struck Ms. Lin, 36, rolled over her body and killed her, the police said. Her husband was not hit.

Paramedics took her to Maimonides Medical Center, where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival. They immediately moved to save the baby, performing a cesarean section in the emergency room, said Jodi Cross, a spokeswoman for the hospital.

The actual “Killdozer” attack killed nobody, this attack nearly killed two. The “Common Sense” solution is to only allow snow clearing with up-armored heavy bulldozers!

Seems that registration and licensing don’t do much if your truck is stolen!

A stolen truck sideswiped a taxi and hit a scooter before colliding with a New York City bus in the West Village early Wednesday morning, sending both vehicles careering onto the sidewalk where they smashed into a building on the corner of Seventh Avenue and 14th Street.

The driver of the bus was ejected from the cab and pronounced dead at the scene, the police said. Five others, including the driver of the stolen truck, were injured, according to officials.

Pretty serious, but not a “Gun Death”.
