“Gun Death” Hammer Mass Murder

Yep, Hammer!

A woman and her daughter were bludgeoned to death in their Queens home by the woman’s live-in boyfriend, who called 911 and confessed that he had “killed them because they are witches,” law enforcement officials said on Wednesday.

In NYC too! Guns are all but banned there, meanwhile just about every home and apartment has at least one hammer. It’s not the tool, its the person!

Glad To Know!

On a personal note, I was noticing my generally non-foul sweat was smelling HORRIBLE since I became a dad.

Now I wonder why I was so surprisingly not stinky (but still smelly) after a week at sea with no shower. Maybe it was all the hard labor I was doing at sea.

Images of the Antis: False Reality

This is a loaded one:

First up it implies that gun control laws make us safer, and liberalizing gun laws puts us in peril. Except it doesn’t, gun ownership is at the highest its been in history, and carry laws are the most liberal they’ve been, and they keep getting better, and violent crime is dropping.

This brings me to the anti-rights rallying cry that “90% of Americans Support tighter gun control” and the “NRA is losing ground and is a paper tiger”, coupled with all the spurious “Blood in the Streets” predictions.

If any of the things the anti-rights cult said were true they would be crushing us under their heels.

Of course what they say are lies. “Who’s Going to Win?”

The side that tells the truth.

Good on South Carolina, and quck Fisk

No longer are permit-holders barred from places with bars and liquor licenses!

Governor Nikki Haley of South Carolina signed S.308 into law today, February 11th.

The reform restores the rights of armed Americans to eat in the same restaurants as the rest of the population. South Carolina is one of the last states to restore this right.

South Carolina is joining the majority of states that aren’t concerned with carry permit holders not being able to control themselves and get ILLEGALLY drunk in restaurants.

This is a non-issue, and I’m glad the people of South Carolina have come to their senses as with the other states who have recently repealed the dumb laws.

Also she’s pushing for Constitutional carry!

South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley says she’d like to see the state senate pass a proposal that would allow people to carry guns – concealed or in the open – without a permit….But Haley wants to see the law taken a step further. Open carry is currently prohibited in the state, but the Constitutional Carry Act would change that. It would eliminate the permitting and training requirement for carrying a gun in public.

“Criminals are dangerous, and I think that every resident should be allowed to protect themselves from criminals,” she said during the bill signing.

This is also very reasonable, and sides with individual liberty! I wish the people of South Carolina the best of luck!

Of course the “Progressives” HATE freedom, and they’re willing to bullshit to invoke needless fear!

Permit requirements are typically separate from laws that govern who can buy and possess guns in the state.

100% true, now comes the lies that fly directly in the face of that:

While some crimes — violent felonies — bar individuals from buying or possessing a gun in the first place, a larger list of crimes bars individuals from carrying those guns outside their homes. What’s more, those who seek a permit are required to undergo firearms training. And permits must be re-issued every few years, allowing the state an opportunity to check for new crimes committed after an individual initially purchased a gun. Ending the permit requirement would eliminate both firearms training and the more probing, follow-up background checks that now exist.

I’m curious what “crimes” prohibit people from carrying despite not being a federally prohibited person. No citation was given, maybe people in the comments can clarify this. I would argue if you are safe to OWN a gun, you are safe to carry it. If you are not safe to carry it, you shouldn’t own it. Also I’ll add many crimes that make it illegal for you to posses a gun really don’t make you any more of a risk. If you are convicted of tax evasion, or were caught poaching game, or the multitude of other foolish victimless crimes that are felonies, you are no more likely to be violent than somebody with a clean record.

Also if you can’t legally possess a gun a permit, or any facsimile is moot. If you are a violent felon in Vermont or Wyoming, or Alaska, or Arizona, it doesn’t matter if you need a permit or not, OWNING that gun is a crime, and CARRYING the gun is possession.

Firearms training is bullshit, it hasn’t been proven to make a state any more or less safe. Training is good, but mandating it only puts restrictions on people carrying their guns. Further it is VERY easy to become proficient in firearms handling, and self defense law WITHOUT attending a class, so demanding somebody who is already proficient in these things is simply a tax.

Lastly renewal of permits is NOT the only point where the state can check you for a criminal violation. That’s foolish, and short-sighted. Essentially this author is claiming that if I rape or murder somebody two days after I get my SC permit, I should be valid to carry a gun until the permit expires 4 years later?

Bullshit, the permit is revoked upon a conviction (and suspended pending trial), and your rights to OWN guns are revoked pending a conviction. The permit DOES NOTHING, and hasn’t since records became computerized decades ago.

Renewing permits is simply a hassle and a tax. I think every state should do away with this nonsense.

I mean it does say “The right to KEEP and BEAR arms shall not be infinged”, doesn’t it?

“Gun Death” Brutal Murder

The fact that this is not a “Gun Death” doesn’t make it any less horrible:

Once the landlord entered the locked apartment, a police officer went into a bedroom and saw blood on the bed comforter and then found “a body with a missing head,” Detective Brandon Hill wrote in the warrant….Police seized multiple steak knives, scissors, stained clothing, a spiral notebook, a laptop computer and a sword, among other items, according to the warrant.

I would say a shooting would be CONSIDERABLY less grizzly!

“Bad Ass State Trooper” Fisk

It seems that many of the “I’m a Gun owner But…” gun control types are mostly machismo-spewing blowhards.

While on the surface most of his tips have a grain of truth, but they quickly fall apart from there:

Common sense. Common sense is your best day to day option for protection. Not being in bad neighborhoods at night, avoiding unlit sidewalks, and keeping your situational awareness helps. Some shady looking dude seems to be walking towards you, maybe you should cross the street or leave the area. A gang of hoodlums are hanging out under that broken street light, maybe we should avoid that. Hey I can cut through this back alley to save 5 minutes on my trip, wait thats a dumb idea.

Grain of truth, we’ll get back to this later, but really in the end isn’t he just blaming the victim? He’s from Baltimore which is a crime-filled shithole. Is he claiming that residents of his city are the dumbest people ever? People live in Dangerous places for reasons they can’t reasonably control. Hell I moved from the rather safe Portland Maine, to a neighborhood in Medford Massachusetts where a pair of cops got their teeth kicked in by a gang of teens. I moved here for employment and love, while maintaining proximity to my family. It couldn’t be helped, but I guess I’m an idiot.

Run the fuck away. Yes good self defense is knowing when to run the fuck away. This falls in line with my common sense point too. Shady looking guy heading your way, you change direction and he does too? Time to beat feet.

Ok now let’s look at the “Common Sense” bit again. technically I’m CONSTANTLY “Running away”, if I think things might go south, I leave, but this is all before a threat presents itself.

When you’re being engaged running is one of the WORST things you can do. Unless you’re an Olympic sprinter, there’s no way you know you can outrun a deadly threat. If your attacker is faster than you…or has a gun, you’re simply turning your back to a known threat. So I personally will run from a POTENTIAL threat, but when I KNOW I’m being attacked I’ll back away and do my best to de-escalate, but as soon as that fails, its time to stand your ground and let violence beget worse violence.

I carry a gun because I want to be the winner if that ever happens.

Comply. So you chose to ignore that shady looking guy walking your way and you didnt see him until he has you at knifepoint. Welp your best bet is to comply. James fucking Bond can draw and shoot faster than a guy can stab you with a knife at 5 feet, but you sure as shit cant.

First up, Bullshit! Second, you are NOT entering into a binding contract with a mugger. If you give an armed attacker your wallet, you now have an armed attacker with your wallet. You are in a WORSE situation, not a better one. Complying is simply stupid! You’re taking an anti-social monster at their word. Next up is he going to tell me I should let a child molester babysit my daughter if he says he’s not interesting in raping her?

Self defense. Next off is some sort of martial arts training. MMA has gotten big recently and stuff like that can really help you defend yourself in case points 1, 2, and 3 fail, or if the bad guy(s) really got the jump on you. The best option here is to defend yourself, create distance, and then yup you guessed it, run the fuck away.

Not horrible advice, really. Still it takes YEARS to master a martial art, and even then it really only goes so far. If you are unarmed, and they have a weapon, the odds are against you, if your an average Joe, or a 57th Dan Black belt in Badass-fu. Further one just needs to look at martial arts competitions, they always divide the bouts by sex and by weight. So if you are female, and your attacker is male, you’re at a disadvantage, and if you’re smaller than your attack you are at a disadvantage.

Training is good, but packing a gun is better.

Finally we get to weapons. Weapons are a force multiplier. If some people are really trying to hurt you, a weapon of some sort is your last line of defense…. Point 5 is really really only when for when points 1, 2, and 3 (and depending on circumstances, point 4) have failed.

His points are sound, but his reasoning is bullshit. If 1, 2, and 3 have failed, and somebody is trying to kill you, they likely already have, and if you have a gun or knife they might take it as a trophy or to kill their next victim.

And of course some chest-thumping bravado, with a healthy dose of strawman!

Just because youre walking around with a Colt .45 on your hip it doesnt mean youre Billy Badass all of a sudden.

Who thinks this besides gun banners? I walk around with a .45 under my coat because I want to go home that night and sleep in my bed! I’m the furthest thing from a badass, hence why I’m not advocating distance sprinting and kung-fu to save my life when a .45 Hollow point is at hand! A badass action-star can out-run a villain or knock him out with a perfectly placed punch…that ain’t me, and it ain’t you. I’ll avoid danger however I can, and I’ll take the slings and arrows of insults for being a “Pussy”…I don’t NEED to be a badass! But if danger comes looking for me, I’m not going to fight back, I’m going to kill them and call the cops.

Hollywood might make you think that’s “Badass”, but it really isn’t. Just look at what George Zimmerman is going through, it ain’t fun, and it won’t make you a national hero…but you WILL still be alive.

And last a little anti-gun Irony:

Yeah im a Bad Ass State TrooperTM but im still not gonna walk around the freaking bad parts Baltimore or DC or NYC at night.

Three HUGE gun control capitals of the United states and this chest-thumping guy won’t go there after dark. Meanwhile in less restrictive jurisdictions I’ll walk around at night unmolested…probably because the predators know I might have a gun…and with me, I do!

Anti-Gun Mayor Guilty of Corruption

Big Shock!

A jury convicted former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin Wednesday on 20 of 21 federal corruption counts, including bribery, marking a stunning fall for the feisty official who gained a national profile following Hurricane Katrina.

The 57-year-old Democrat, who led his city through the aftermath of the 2005 storm, was found guilty of charges that he accepted bribes, free trips and other gratuities from contractors in exchange for helping them secure millions of dollars in city work while he was in office.

He will remain free on bond while he awaits sentencing. Each of the charges carries a sentence from three to 20 years, but how long he would serve was unclear and will depend on a pre-sentence investigation and various sentencing guidelines. No sentencing date was set.

In in honor of Former Mayor Nagin we have a musical interlude:

Nagin was using the term as a black supremacist, Clinton was using it as inclusion and about peaceful means of getting blacks into politics:

Sadly Clinton (who is well known for having a multi-racial multi-cultural band) didn’t see how bad his vision was.

Let’s hope Nagin get’s the bulk of those 400 years!

Big Suprise

The Teen who shot his brother had a criminal history:

The 14-year-old Mattapan youth charged with fatally shooting his brother last week had such a history of violence that his mother repeatedly called police for help in controlling him and state officials had tried to take custody of the teen….His behavior prompted officers to come to his house in Mattapan at least three times over the last year, according to police reports. In one instance, his mother said he slapped his little brother in the face and knocked him to the ground.

The teen has been arrested three times for assault, and in May was sent to a residential program designed to help troubled boys, according to police reports. He ran away from the Norwood facility the same day he arrived.

The agency worked with the teen for the past two years, trying to help the mother manage his behavior.

“The department did all the right things in this, and we just have an incredibly tragic outcome, with guns that we have to get off the street,” Polanowicz said. Officials, citing confidentiality, refused to identify the judge or the court who denied the state custody of the teen.

No they didn’t! This isn’t a GUN problem, this is a SYSTEM problem! This kid gave all the warnings that he was bound for trouble, and what did the system do?

As little as possible.

Hey, but since I own guns, I’m to blame for this shit!
