We don’t need gun control in this country, we need criminal control. Even with all the talk of expansion of mental health screening, we’re still letting known violent criminals out of prison. Is there any surprise what they do when they’re out and unsupervised?

Why do we need personal watercraft?
An experienced San Jose kayaker died after getting wedged upside down in some rocks while navigating a remote stretch of Clear Creek in Shasta County on Sunday, officials said.
According to the Shasta County Coroner’s Office, Shelbi Danielle Arno, 39, had previously navigated the same waters, which are not considered particularly treacherous.
“That’s why this is kind of surprising and very heartbreaking,” said Deputy Coroner Billy Cobb. “It’s a very popular creek here.”
Another sad accident that will be ignored because it isn’t a “Gun Death”.

On a related note there is outrage about the new New York gun laws because law enforcement isn’t exempted.
Odd that police would want “Weapons of War” designed simply to “Commit Mass Shootings”.
Maybe cops want the best guns because its the best tool for defending their lives and the lives of others…which is exactly why I want them too!

The mood of the “Guns Over People” party is increasingly to vote for guns. Vote for war. Vote against people.
Why? I cannot figure. To paraphrase an old saying: “Guns don’t vote; people do.”
I have a feeling that there are more Americans with strong feelings about those first graders up in Connecticut than they do for the wild bunch out there worried about the “black helicopters” sweeping down on their front lawns.
We’ve seen the horror of crazed killers with semi-automatic weapons armed with big capacity clips. Still haven’t caught sight of those darn helicopters.
First up, guns are totally inanimate objects, but they’re important to people because people use guns to protect their lives and their liberty.
We haven’t seen the “Black Helicopters” yet because A) We still have our guns firmly in our hands, and B) Helicopters are impractical for door-to-door confiscation (duh). Its more like “Black SWAT APCs” is my concern.
Still EVERYBODY who’s talking about banning guns is talking about some form of confiscation. Grandfathering with zero transfer, So they’ll take your guns and magazines after you die, and nobody else will ever have them, or mandatory buy-backs, where they’ll give you some cash as they confiscate your guns, as if that has any meaning, or simply straight up confiscation.
Sorry, we haven’t seen the black SWAT APCs yet, but they’re gassing them up.
An interesting suicide method:
A 44-year-old woman, whose body was found in a heavily wooded area in a Pennsylvania state park, was ruled to have committed suicide by inhaling helium gas, police said.
When the anti-rights people cite “Gun Death” they often include suicide, claiming that if guns weren’t available the suicide wouldn’t happen.
Makes even less sense when you see this statistic:
Helium inhalation has become an increasingly popular method of suicide in recent years. According to a recent study, reported helium-related deaths spiked from two in 2010 to 42 in 2011.
Between 1993 and 2007 only 18 people were recorded as having died from the gas.
Helium is often used to eliminate the pain and panic that comes with asphyxiation.
I suspect that the low rate of “Helium Death” was simply because people were ignorant of how it could be used. With more knowledge you have more people using that method.
Hey, but guns cause death, right?
