More Anti-Gun Projection

Joan Peterson of the Brady Campaign, Million Mom March, and The Joyce Foundation has a Post up about her meeting with Mary McFate.

Overall I have little issue with what Ms. McFate did, she didn’t commit a crime for joining the Brady Campaign, and as an NRA Member she was already Persona Non-Grata anyway. Still this comment amused me from Joan.

She, of course, was quite interested in what I was doing back home in Minnesota and so I told her about some of our ideas and our campaign. She thought they were good ideas actually. She was also interested in my personal story which I now know was a totally insincere and cynical ploy on her part to prey on victims.

Rather Ironic as Joan constantly trumpets the Death of her sister, and often juxtaposes that crime when talking about laws that would have done NOTHING to have saved her sister.

Same with Sarah Brady using the injury of her husband James to push the Brady Bill, and the Federal Assault Weapons ban. Neither of which would have stopped John Hinkley.

Same with Collin Goddard who uses the death of his fellow students, and his personal injuries to push laws that would leave us all as defenseless as him if we were involved in a similar attack.

Was McFate really “preying on Victims” or simply exposing hucksters at their scams?

Oh one more money-quote from Joan in the comments:

We are pretty “what you see is what you get” sort of people.” I can tell you for sure that we are NOT trying to infiltrate the NRA. That is just total nonsense.

I believe that, they don’t have the people to spare to sever ties with and send them into the NRA.

Also given that ANYBODY can Join the NRA, hell I heard a few gun bloggers gave Guy Cabot a gift-membership to the NRA just to annoy him. The NRA is an open organization, while the Brady Campaign is a closed organization that only invites people to join, and asks the rest to send money.

One more quick one

Just heading out the door to work, and I thought I’d crank out a few more posts and syndicate them across the morning. Here’s another video I found at Sean’s

“Heller is every Gang-Banger’s Get-out-of-Jail-Free card???” what an idiot. But then again the bigots need to lie to push their agenda. Still all I could think of with his talk about helping Cities and Towns defend anti-rights laws that violate state and US constitutions was this.

For those who don’t immediately recognize the photo, go here to read up.

“In the name of the greatest people that have ever trod this earth, I draw the line in the dust and toss the gauntlet before the feet of tyranny, and I say segregation today, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever.” -George Wallace

Way-to-go George, how’d that work out for you? May the Brady Campaign fall into the same obsolescence, and be remembered the same way!

Time to Make the Donuts

Sorry for the lack of content here, heading back into work. Strongly suspect once things calm down I’ll take some time off, and spend some of that blogging.

Also thanks to all who have been sending me “gun death” stories, its really helped keep the lights on here.

“Gun Death” Around the house

OK this case is REALLY weird!

A Minnesota couple is being hospitalized after police say a woman set her house on fire with her husband inside then used a hammer to pound a screwdriver into her chest.

Man go read the whole thing, but its a really strange case. All the carnage was committed with gasoline, matches, a screwdriver, and a hammer. Stuff we all seem to have. Odd when you take away the murderous intentions seem to vanish no matter what tools are presented. Also this is a grim twist on the case.

On November 17, Apple Valley police were called to the Arkley home to investigate the death of the Rhonda’s 22-year-old son, who was found dead in his bedroom. There were no obvious signs of trauma and the death is still under investigation awaiting the coroner’s ruling on the cause of death.

Bizzare case indeed!

Coffee Break

Having a coffee break at work right now. Things are going smoother than they did yesterday, which happened to have left me exhausted and gasping for air, thanks to a combination of allergies and exertion.

Still in the end working on a Sunday sucks.

Monday morning will suck harder.

“Gun Death” Cellphone

Bad Etiquitte, Yep. Grounds for Murder? NO!

46-year-old Garron Lewis is currently facing a first-degree intentional homicide charge for murdering 44-year-old Sharron Dorsey. He confessed to strangling the woman with his belt because she answered her cellphone while the two were having sex.

How about that, she answers her cellphone during sex, and this guy gets so pissed he strangles her.

Good thing he didn’t have a gun, or somebody might have been hurt!

I Exude Pity

Supping down at a Diner in the city so I can quickly get back to work so I won’t be swamped tomorrow.

BTW I feel like such a leper eating alone at a restaurant.

Well at least this shit pays time-and-a-half….

G’Mornin’

Did a Bunch of chores, a few more errands this morning, then I need to go to work. Been a long week, and gonna be longer for a while yet more. Doing Vicious Circle last night was a well-needed break from the all-work-and-no-play week. Hopefully Alan will have the MP3 up soon for you to listen too.

For those of us who listened live, or were part of the action, I’m listening to Eric Shelton’s Handgun Podcast for this week, and probably play some Nethack, until its time to roll again…

“Gun Death” Drunk Driving

Drunk drivers kill as many people every year as guns. But you don’t see the same fanaticism against alcohol and cars as you do from people who use the term “Gun Death”

Brutal, and the guy has a long record on top of all that! Stories like this happen all the time But remember “Progressives” trust the state with their safety, but as much as they crow for public transportation, those systems always lose money hand-over-fist because “Progressives” drive their own cars, and might uncork a bottle of wine when they get home.

See they only want to curb rights they DON’T use. Classy!

VC Live

Going live again tonight! tune in for some fun discussion. One thing I want to bring up is THIS! **UPDATE BELOW**

A 47 year old gay man was arrested at San Francisco International Airport after ejaculating while being patted down by a male TSA agent….According to Cummings’ partner, Sergio Armani, Cummings has “multiple piercings on his manhood” which were detected during a full body scan. As a result, Cummings was pulled aside for a pat-down. Armani stated that the unidentified TSA agent spent “an inordinate amount of time groping” Cummings, who had apparently become sexually aroused. Cummings, who has a history of sexual dysfunction, ejaculated while the TSA agent’s hand was feeling the piercings.

Serves them right! At least while these inept bastards are harassing us while the terrorists waltz right by, they can at least give us a happy ending!

**UPDATE** Turns out the article linked is a spoof. Oh well, its good for a laugh.
