I HATE Methadone, Its government-made Heroin, and nothing else. You’ll note on just about every political ad about requesting funding for Methadone you will NOT hear people pointing out how it got them clean off the junk. I’ve met a few people who were addicted to Heroin and other opiates who tried to kick the habit with Methadone, they all agreed it just switched their habit to Methadone (often Methadone fortified with other drugs bought on the street), and all of the people I know who are clean off of Heroine and Opiates simply quit on their own. Well here’s another reason to dislike Methadone.

A Tennessee woman is in jail after being charged with murdering her 11-month old baby girl by poisoning the infant with methadone pills…Murphree is charged with first degree murder and aggravated child abuse.
According to an affidavit, she admitted to Memphis police that she crushed her methadone pills and put them in her baby’s food.

No Motive given, but at least in this case it was Mom’s prescribed Methadone. Since Methadone does produce a “High” similar to other opiates it has a street value, so often people who get a take-home supply of the prescription drug simply sell it on the street for cash and use the proceeds to buy their preferred drug.

Of course all this political nonsense will fall on deaf ears to those who preach the statistic “Gun Death” as violence in the drug trade is irrelevant to them, as is a dead baby with a system filled with Methadone. Only bullet holes matter to them.

Police have made an arrest in the crossbow slaying of a man in a library in Toronto’s east end…Witnesses told CBC’s Jermaine Hylton they saw a man approach the victim, who was sitting on a bench in the library, and then pepper-spray him. He was then shot, either in the face or the back, witnesses said.

That type of random and underhanded attack, the tools aren’t really all that important. A zap of pepper spray (or hairspray, or bug spray, spray-paint, coffee cup filled with drain cleaner….) to distract a person, then a coup-de-grace with just about anything. A rock or a pipe would be plenty, to kill.

Maybe my Canadian readers could share with me the restrictions on crossbows in Canada. I know they’re heavily restricted in most places, including requiring a pistol permit to buy in North Carolina. A lot of good all that noise does…

The “Gun Death?” category was never meant to be a current events category, but recent news stories, but I try to keep them fairly current. Appears I missed an Email from Bob S. so these two stories are over a month old.

The first is a Body Found in a Freezer.

According to warrants filed Monday, Wendy Edmond Green, 41, is charged with conspiring with two others to kill her longtime companion David Reuben Green Jr., 52, in his Northern Wake County home. She was already charged with first-degree murder in the killing.

Now, two juveniles have also been charged with first-degree murder and felony conspiracy, according to William Lassiter, a spokesman for the state Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention…When investigators opened the door of the freezer, they discovered Green’s body. The freezer was off, as was the house’s power

I wonder what gun the teens used to commit this heinous crime…

Authorities think he died of blunt force trauma as early as January.

Second up Is even more gruesome than the last.

A mother repeatedly stabbed her three-year-old daughter before dousing her body in acid in a bid to “dissolve her away”, a court has heard…He said: “She was on the floor and not on the bed, however her body was in a state of decomposition in that the skin had melted away exposing bone, due to some form of corrosive substance having been applied to her torso.”

The prosecutor told the court that a number of stab wounds had been inflicted, most likely with a large kitchen knife, though no weapon was recovered from the scene.

The mom is a Paranoid Schizophrenic. When will we have “Common Sense” laws that make sure everybody who owns kitchen knives undergoes extensive background checks?

We all know when that will happen. The Leftists are after my guns because they don’t keep guns, they are after my pocket knives because they don’t carry knives on their person. They are NOT after kitchen knives, because they need to eat and prepare their food SOMEHOW.

They’re only after the rights they have no interest in!
