Since the anti-rights blogs are such a wasteland of bland stupidity right now I found myself sneaking over to Southern Beale’s blog just to find something stupid to blog about. Well I found something.
The calendar says June. The map says Nashville, Tennessee. The thermometer says Phoenix, Arizona.
Yesterday it was 109 degrees in Nashville. I shit you not.
Did I mention it’s still June? Hottest day ever on record. Today is not much better. In fact, for the foreseeable future Nashville is expected to be 100+ degrees. If this is June, then August is going to be positively brutal….So, folks, you can pretend climate change isn’t real all you want. Pass all the bills you want allowing you to teach that the dinosaurs just missed Noah’s boatlift and climate change is a liberal plot. That doesn’t change the facts and that doesn’t mean it ain’t happening. It just means you’re stupid.
She’s bitching about the heat in summer. Everybody does that, but she drops that “Progressive” card by declaring this how things are going to be forever, and how the whole world is doomed.
Wow. Let’s not think at all about how its warm so far this summer (tho the heat is REALLY dry in the Northeast right now, making the warm temperatures VERY pleasant), and the winter was really mild. But hey, let’s totally ignore the fact that out west they had a BRUTAL winter. Also last summer it was so mild that we didn’t even bother pulling the AC units out of storage….and two summers before that we also did fine without AC…and the winter before last we got BURIED in snow, and two winters before that it was BRUTALLY cold.
Nope, while “Progressives” are quick to speak ill of Christians for their faith, they MUST believe in whatever the bullshit term for the moment in that the world is getting hotter, and everybody that doesn’t follow the preaching of their mindless congregation are “Stupid”. Despite all the evidence to the contrary.
Its not hot, its the harbinger of the great prophecy of the Al Gore Death Cult!
No wonder “Progressives” are such difficult people to get along with!
How does she explain the fact that THIS summer has been decidedly less brutal than last summer?
Last year we had 70 something days over 100, this year we have barely broken 100 once or twice. Last year we had record high temps, this year not so much.
Could it be a
progressiveconservative plot to make us think that the climate doesn’t change all the time ? (not a very good plot since the climate changed from last year).Sheesh…..it is almost as if they don’t bother with the actual science of what is going on but just make up their mind about what they THINK/FEEL is going on and go from there.
Personal feelings and biases are an intrinsic part of the scientific method.
Oh wait… no the opposite.
She’s also too dogmatic and too thickheaded to realize the sad irony of her preachin’.
You see she believes in Science, a man who speaks for the men in science coats told her what to think. It’s science. More importantly it’s Settled Science. All the science-men reached their consensus by picking the ideas of the wisest among them and going with the most popular.
(And yes that preceding paragraph /is/ gibberish to anyone who understands the mechanisms of the scientific process.)
This is the same kind of angry person who would freak out if some priest railed against the evils of giving sweets to kids and how it’s up to the morally righteous to Do Something, but would nod enthusiastically if some agent of the Department of Health and Moral Hygiene said the exact same thing.
A few years ago, our area (Oregon) had a week of 90-100 degree weather in the first week of May, and everyone thought summer was going to be brutal. But that hot week was followed immediately by (you’ll never guess….): rain. For two months nearly solid. We didn’t break 90 degrees again until July.
The years since then have coined a new term: “June-uary,” describing cool, rainy weather in the late-spring-early-summer. Right now, July 3, it’s overcast/rain, approximately 65 degrees.
What’s more likely: that the entire Earth’s climate is permanently turning the Arctic into a tropical paradise; or that in some isolated areas, occasionally many immeasurable (without expensive equipment) conditions will synchronize to produce unseasonable weather? (HINT: “Climate” is what you expect, “weather” is what you get.)
It’s an “inconvenient truth” how much of their “Progressive” arguments are pure BS.
Everybody complains about the weather, but only Al Gore can punch it in the nuts while filling his wallet.
