Tasteless

I saw this on the news last night.

The Greenland police chief killed in a firefight a week ago was remembered Thursday as a hero who put fellow officers’ lives first. The comments came during a solemn service at a packed high school stadium where Michael Maloney played football as a teenager about 30 years ago.

“Here at Michael Maloney’s beloved alma mater … we bid farewell to a proud native son, a dedicated public servant, a loving husband, father and grandfather, and also a hero in every sense of the word,” U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder told a hushed audience at the Winnacunnet High School athletic field that included thousands of police officers.

I haven’t really talked much about this crime. Its a shame that the police chief was murdered by violent criminals. On the other hand we had police officers killed in similar ways by similar violent criminals, but rather than selling pharmaceuticals without prescriptions, these criminals were selling alcohol illegal during prohibition. He didn’t have to die. He was also doing his job, he shouldn’t have say over which laws he likes and dislikes, that’s the job of the people he serves.

Still this chief was killed by drug dealers with illegally held weapons….and Eric Holder, who’s job has been to give guns illegally to drug dealers in Mexico to push Chicago-style gun laws, decided to show his face at the funeral.

Amazingly tasteless and shameless, Eric. You have blood on your hands for US law Enforcement Officers who were killed by Fast and Furious guns. And that’s not even considering the Mexican citizens who are dead directly because of your criminal acts.

I hope Eric has his trial, and I hope this gets mentioned for consideration at sentencing.
