You ever try the rye? I’m medically disallowed, due to pancreas, but I liked the hell out of it in the past. Old Overholt is almost as good and Van Winkle Family Reserve is better, but WT does a nice rye. Rye was the favorite American whiskey until prohibition converted a lot of people over to Canadian/Irish/Scotch and after the repeal it never came back just like strong ales never really came back…
Historical fact of rye…Goes nice with smoked fish if your internal medicine guy doesn’t say you can’t has it anymore.
I’ve heard a lot of good about rye, I must try it!
