Hey, it wasn’t a Gun Death!

First up, I’d like to thank everybody who submitted news stories for my new category, as well as the people who are now blogging non-gun-death stories as well. Currently I’ve had so many posts floating around in my head I haven’t dipped into the emails I’m getting to read and publish the stories. I will tho, those sleepy evening do indeed happen.

Still I was playing some video games on my Wii this morning, and before I shut the system down I decided to “Read the Paper” as I call it, by reading the Wii news channel. (BTW how cool is it that I’m using a video game console to read the latest news stories??) I found this gem:

A man who confessed to killing two men and a boy in a small town on the Canadian border told police he planned to live with a teenage daughter of one of the victims and the girl’s mother, a newspaper reported.

Thayne Ormsby, 20, of Orient, was arrested Friday in Dover, N.H., where he was held on a fugitive from justice charge. He’s charged in Maine with three counts of murder in the Amity stabbings of Jeffrey Ryan, 55, whom he thought was dealing drugs, as well as Ryan’s 10-year-old son and a neighbor, a police affidavit said. A 911 call on June 23 led police to the bodies.

That whole odd living arrangements seems to be the hook-line of the story, still lets look at the case from the eyes of Mrs. and Mrs. Anti.

We have a 20 year-old-man who was decided to murder two adults and one young child because he suspected them of dealing drugs, then decided to Flee 300 miles South (Orient is just South of Houlton Maine according to Google Maps) into New Hampshire to avoid justice.

What should we do about this?

Well from the eyes of the Antis, if he had used a gun, we should ban guns….but he didn’t, he used a knife to kill 3 people. (BTW don’t the antis always say guns make it easier to commit multiple killings? Odd I’m now reading about a triple-homicide stabbing in Maine, where not only are gun laws very relaxed and reasonable, but also guns are DAMN common in the rural communities, such as where the murders took place. (I have relatives who live North of there, and they ALL own guns..and not just one-or-two!) but down here in Mass I read stories like this one where the murderer seemed to get a gun despite our strict laws and low number of gun owning homes, but only managed to kill ONE person)

Still he didn’t use a gun, so what should we do about this case? I mean antis ALWAYS talk about “Gun Crime” and “Gun Death”, this isn’t any of that. Isn’t this a “better” crime in that sense?

Three people are dead, one a 10-year-old boy, but at least a gun wasn’t used. This is what anti-gun people want for all of us!
