I started to ask if there was a school where they go to learn to lie and distort — then I realized that most major universities (at least the soft science departments) have that as a standard course.
I could also say its a top-down tactic, big-wig pundits debate this way, turning the tactics to talking points where the drones repeat it.
Works on all sides, I remember seeing some dude at the gunshop counter saying “Hitler Invented Gun Control”, not exactly true, and I doubt he understood his error, but our side debates with facts and statistics, and our own drones parrot them.
