Lost Opportunity

Newsweek sells for $1

I wish I’d known, I’d have paid $5 and sold it for $1,000 to a developer to turn the press where that fishwrap was turned out into condos, or maybe Section 8 Housing!

My Father has a subscription to the magazine, he started giving me his back issues when he finished them. After a few issues I knew the best place for them was in the bottom of my recycling bin.

Are you kidding me? The bottom of the recycle bin?!!! You could duck tape a whole year of them together and shoot the crap out of them. 7.62x54R does nice things to a compact stack of paper.

Recycling is where you put stuff that you have shot so much, you no longer can tell where the new hole is. Learn to be more environmentally friendly weer’d, you are from the Northeast.

Too much work! We already get tons of phone books that we don’t use (we look up numbers on the internet), also the grocery store sells old veggies for cheap.

Not to mention milk jugs and soda bottles filled with water!!!!

Newsweek isn’t even good for starting fires!

  2. I’ve been a Newsweek subscriber for ~20 years now. I used to renew my subscription 3 years at a time. About a year or a year and a half ago they changed out the editors and the format of the magazine. Amongst other things it took a hard turn to the left. They won’t refund my money so it still gets delivered; from the mail man to my mail box to my trash can.

You should really think about recycling, Chicken! Remember those copies of Newsweek could be recycled into greeting cards, or maybe Guns and Ammo, or Reason Magazine. Think of it in the Buddhist sort of way! 🙂
