Morning Update

Another long night. The pain and nausea (which is likely a result of the pain) are still an issue, plus she’s due for fresh meds every couple of hours, so sleep again sucks.

That being said she’s really starting to perk up. She’s talking and moving around a bit more, and she’s even starting to make jokes.

So baby steps, but steps in the right direction!

I feel for you re: meds every few hours, I really do. I was doing that for months with Mum and I can honestly say that I get MORE sleep now I have a six month old instead. People really don’t give carers enough credit; you’re doing an awesome job and it’s so great to hear she’s home and on the mend. 🙂

I said that this morning that this was good baby practice!

Yeah, when the Mrs. came out of the closet about being epileptic she was kind of surprised how relived I felt to actually talk about her disease. Being her primary care giver there are few aspects of my life it doesn’t touch.

With a little luck (knock on wood) this post-op caregiver role might be my last caregiver roll until a Baby comes around.
