Then and Now

Back in November 2008 Keith Olbermann was so so politically pure he wouldn’t even vote. It was a gesture to show he was on the level. *snicker*

Now…well:

Keith Olbermann, the top anchor on MSNBC, was suspended on Friday after the channel discovered that he made campaign contributions to three Democrats last month.

The MSNBC president, Phil Griffin, issued a statement saying: “I became aware of Keith’s political contributions late last night. Mindful of NBC News policy and standards, I have suspended him indefinitely without pay.”

Politico had reported Friday morning that Mr. Olbermann’s contributions were in apparent violation of MSNBC policy.

Heh, turns out Olbermann isn’t honest…he’s just an asshole. And speaking of assholes, seriously how stupid and disingenuous is MSNBC for expecting to stay out of Political races? It would be HONEST for them to have policy about donating to REPUBLICANS.

Poor Keith, your seven viewers will miss you. I wonder who will be dumb enough to hire up this vacuous lack of talent once he officially gets his pink slip.

This makes me do a jig in glee. Yes, really.

  2. So pure that he wouldn’t even have made his (briefly, and now) ex-girlfriend the “Worst Person In The World”, twice, except for the fact that she really really deserved it.

He won’t get a pink slip…MSNBC will end the *indefinite suspension* in about 2 months or so, claiming that he had learned the error of is ways, and he’ll be right back into his old job.

Mark my words. MSNBC is nothing if not unabashedly liberal, and it needs this putz to keep its lib viewer base.

I dunno, I suspect that Komrade Keith was not the only employee caught in a minor contract violation, he IS the only one who got reprimanded for it. I suspect there is more behind the scenes at MSNBC, and I have some doubts its some sort of publicity stunt….but we’ll see.
