Time to Use It!

Thanks Robb for the great Image!

Here’s a great Gem from Joan Peterson of the Million Mom March, Brady Campaign, and Joyce Foundation.

It sounds like there is agreement that if the private sellers shown in the videos are actually selling hundreds of guns a year and not required to abide by the same rules as FFLs, action should be taken. The Brady Law did not include such people because, at that time, the law talked about those occasional sellers at gun shows who were exempt from the background check system. I wonder what political pressure happened to make that exclusion? I’ll try to track that one down.

First up, nobody is agreeing with you, we’re agreeing that the in-house propaganda you’ve posted shows actual or staged crimes being committed. If you are selling guns as a business, you need to get an FFL. The reason why the 1993 Brady Law didn’t address these kind of sellers is they were already in violation of federal law per The Gun Control Act of 1968

The “political pressure” was to not bother writing laws that detailed crimes already discussed in other laws. But Ms. Peterson is not very well acquainted with reality. I mean she thinks things are legal simply because people DO them

One wonders why, with this twisted view of reality she’s so hell-bent on gun-control? I mean she speaks often of her murdered sister, why doesn’t she work to make MURDER illegal? If it had been, her sister would still be alive today…or something….

The one, solitary, single thing that sends all of those highly-vaunted videos right down the “Useless” chute?

As far as I am aware, there has not been a single conviction based off any of them, or even an arrest.

Of course, the fact that some of the people making the videos ought to be arrested/convicted for their straw/out-of-state purchases might have something to do with that small detail…

Weerd, You forget the one item. A “gun” killed her not the man holding it. Her in ability to reconcile a device from the users intent
will always have her doing the nutty. However, in many of the replies its clear that honest discussion is not possible due to that disconnect
and if pushed the reaction is to deny, censor, ignore or try to discredit with defective logic. Having read everything posted since the 20 questions
it’s clear that she tried to make it pulpit and instead opened herself to examination and the result is far from pretty.

The only answer is every time she drags out the canards, rhetoric and defective facts people need to point out how its wrong, why it’s broken and
all the other tricks they are pulling in their propaganda mission.

Wow, I think you just got my mind into the perfect pretzel.

GUNS kill people, so murder laws are irrelevant, because laws are for people. So we need to push gun control laws so we can eliminate guns, eliminate guns you eliminate murder.

      • Eck! says:

Yep. However I’m not cognitively deficient so I can have that idea in my head and still do rational thinking about why it’s utter bunk.
Our “friend” however cannot admit to those murderous guns and not the criminals using them so instead she muddles them all up with
half baked and faulty logic to create them. The true straw dogs are in her mind.

But we also have Josh Horwitz trying to rewrite history with the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence (CSGV), the “other propaganda machine”.
I really do love scary quotes and loaded words. I do see why they like them.

Take two brain bleach and remember when they talk, lies happen.

        Eck!
