I have a Dyson Animal DC25 and I totally love it. Dyson vacuums are a bit spendy, but well worth it in my opinion.
I noticed Woot has Dyson DC28s for sale for $300. Haven’t used this model, but I know that others have found quality across the Dyson board, and for $300 I can’t imagine how you’d go wrong.

Seriously, this thing sucks up so much crud on its first use that you end up feeling depressed that you had been living in filth prior to that point.
Wife saw this deal last night and was tempted to get it just to have a back-up Dyson. She said “two is one, one is none.” Having my words turned back at me – good times.
Yep I vacuumed my rugs with my old Hoover Wind Tunnel (that I had had for almost 10 years, and it probably was losing a LOT of power by this time to be fair) and got so much crud with the dyson that I had to empty the canister after EVERY rug.
Thankfully that doesn’t happen now, the canister fills after doing the whole house.

We bought a Dyson Ball over tje winter and love it. Worth every penny.
I too have the DC25, and love it! It was my big tax return purchase this year… Sucks up crud, and, it’s PURPLE! 🙂
