So the wife and I just got back from her Neurooncologist. They looked at the MRI she had done on Monday Morning. Looks just like the last one, but MUCH cleaner. Very good news. We’ll be repeating this a few times a year from now on, just to keep an eye on things.
Also some neat cutting edge technology is available at Mass General where they can sequence the tumor DNA and look for any abnormalities that might have caused the tumor in the first place. What’s great about this is if the tumor ends up coming back there might be target drug therapies that might be good candidates to treat it. Also this process can be repeated in the future as new drugs and genetic pathways are discovered! Pretty neat stuff!
But now the really good news, one of the doctors called Mrs. Weer’ds Epileptologist and talked to her about rescheduling her appointment, and it looks like we’ll be able to get fit in in the next few weeks!
