When I say “Alcohol and Kids” we’re not talking high-school, or even grade school kids.
The father and aunt of a child have been charged with killing her.
According to Alpharetta Police Department spokesman George Gordon, the 4-year-old girl died as a result of “extreme alcohol toxicity.” Court documents said the child, Shakira Decelien, had a blood alcohol level of .272, more than three times the legal limit for an adult driver.
Yep, feeding a 4-year-old large amounts of booze. Charges are being filed. But for the anti-rights types, there was no gun used, so this isn’t a “Gun Death”, so nothing to see here, move along.

Obviously alcohol licensing and registration would have prevented this. It’s just self-evident. Do it for teh childrenses!!!!!1111eleventy-one!!!
I call for bottles that hold no more than three shots.
heh, well tied in!
This has nothing to do with this particular post, but since I cannot find a way to e-mail you directly, I decided to request this here. I would appreciate it if you added this to your Gun Deaths, though:

My father just passed away a couple of weeks ago. Since he wasn’t someone “extraordinarily special”, he won’t have a big obituary–and apparently falling down the stairs after having lived with the results of a stroke for four years is so common, it doesn’t even deserve a mention in the newspaper beyond a generic obituary.
My father didn’t die from a gun, so it doesn’t count. But try telling that to me, or my family, or my Dad’s friends.
Yes, I understand it’s cynical to request this…but Brady folk, and others in their cause, like to cynically use the deaths of their loved ones to advance their causes. So, I figure it’s my turn!
Of course, perhaps I am going the wrong direction. Perhaps I should call for limits on the number of stairs that could be put in a stairwell. 🙂
