“Gun Death” Canada

Canada has lots of gun control, so they have less “Gun Death”

Penticton Mounties were called to rural Carmie Road around 2 a.m. Friday after receiving a call that a 17-year-old boy had been stabbed. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Just to be fair on the same page:

Another B.C. teen is dead after a shooting in the Kootenays town of Jaffray Thursday evening.

The 17-year-old boy was with a group of young people inside a local home when one of them discovered a rifle. The gun went off, hitting and killing the victim.

Hey but I bet the Rifle was registered! Now Two stories two dead 17 year olds. One is a “Gun Death” the other is a “Knife Death”. Which one is MORE dead? Which would you prefer to be your 17 year old son or brother?

Why do we use the “Gun Death” metric again?

    "The gun went off…"

    … just like that!

I’d be willing to venture that had those boys been raised to respect guns rather than fear them as registered taboos they’d have probably been better prepared to deal with a “discovered rifle.”

But since the antis wish to relegate firearms to the status of a stack of Playboys hidden from the wife, we will continue to have gun accidents related to ignorance.

Kinda odd that the people who say “The Gun Went Off” or “The Gun Discharged While Cleaning” have never actually shot or cleaned a gun.

      Funny how that works.

Odd, how I keep several of my guns loaded ALL THE TIME, and when I check them before dropping them into a holster they’re still loaded, and haven’t “Gone Off” in all this time.
