“Gun Death”: Tools

Many people point out that guns are simply tools. They’re correct, they are tools designed to send a projectile in a straight path at speed. Many of my tools are used for paper punching sports, or training. I have other tools that are historical collector’s pieces that are really more of a link to the past than anything else. Some are defensive tools used to protect life. None of them, even the military weapons, were designed for murder. Murder by definition does nobody any good. But tools can be abused.

Investigators say 22-year-old Maria Vera is hospitalized in critical condition after she was stabbed by her estranged husband with a screwdriver, the Sandusky Register reports.

She was stabbed repeatedly in the head and body.

Now stop for a moment and think, is there any reason why anybody would have a screwdriver? Do you own a screwdriver? How many? Just down here in the armory I’m counting maybe a dozen, and I have a bunch more scattered around my house. May even have a few in my car. There’s even a screw driver on my keychain. None of them are locked up. Certainly somebody could abuse one and use it for murder, but that’s not why I have an “Arsenal” of them!

Dude, I’ve slipped a screw driver in my back pocket and forget it was there.

Then I went and ran errands…..I was concealing a deadly weapon — w/o a permit!!!
