How Gun Control Works Pt II

So I’m going to expand on this post I wrote this morning.

The anti-rights people are always saying when we roll back some of their miserable and illegal laws that there will be “blood in the streets”. Well there is blood in the streets…only its the streets with the most gun control and gang presence.

Of course the anti-rights zealots, not to allow facts to dominate the discussion quickly point out that every anti-gun state has a nearby state that has less restrictive laws, and if only we could just enact laws in THOSE states then we could curb “Gun Death”.

Well first it doesn’t make a lick of sense, as if the violent criminals are going into New Hampshire to buy “less restricted” guns to bring back to Boston…why don’t they commit crimes in New Hampshire too? I mean they’re THERE, and people in New Hampshire have money and valuable stuff, right? Actually they probably have MORE money because they aren’t taxed every time they blink like those of us behind the “Progressive” Iron Curtain.

Well it doesn’t make sense because it isn’t true! (PDF…and thanks Wally for sending this to me!)

So Scroll to page 6. Look where the guns come from. The vast majority of guns found at crimes, or on criminals in Massachusetts come from….MASSACHUSETTS!

But the anti-rights fools will whine further and point out that the other states add up too! Well they kinda don’t when you look at the percentage that Gun-Control Haven, Massachusetts supplies, still I’ll bite. Scroll to page 7.

Time-to-crime. Look at that spike at the end. “Over 3 Years”. If criminals are buying guns from corrupt dealers or straw sales, why would they sit on the gun for 3 years?

Easy they don’t. The guns are mostly stolen from lawful people. You can’t stop that. If Thieves can get passed a guarded secured museum to steal priceless art, how will you ensure your gun will NEVER be stolen? You can’t.

One last amusing tid-bit. Look at where the guns are recovered on page 8, and cross-reference it with this list of how restricted the towns are.

Gun control, not only does it not work, it causes EXACTLY what it aims to prevent.

If you like violent crime, you LOVE gun control!

Good post and good points Weerd… ties in nicely with my post on homicide rates… sigh.

Wow. That happy little PDF completely disproves every single talking point Bonomo has ever saw fit to use… Massachusetts has every single piece of firearm-related legislation he has ever wanted – registration, licensing, background checks, etc. etc. etc. – and not only do those laws continue to fail, they continue to fail within the state’s own boundaries.

Granted, this should come as no surprise to anyone paying attention, but reality once again proves how much of a clueless idiot MikeB302000 really is…
