How to Drum up Controversy

You can prattle about politics, but unless its abortion you won’t get much. Hell I stated that all doctors who write prescriptions for Marijuana should have their license revoked for violation of ethics. We can talk the caliber war where I claim that in terminal ballistics there really isn’t much difference between 9mm and .45 ACP. I’ve also said that I don’t see much point in .40 S&W or .357 Sig, and I’ve advised people away from those cartridges over to 9mm or .45 ACP.

Still all that you wanna stir up some reactions, mention that Chili without beans sucks, or that you ate a Chicken Fried Steak at IHOP!

FYI the wife has fried me up a steak on an occasion or two (even tho she doesn’t much care for the great Southern Delicacy) so I do know what a good CFS tastes like.

And yes we’re talking about a trip to Texas sometime in the near future, and yes I’m gonna eat AT LEAST one chicken fried steak whilst I’m down there!

LOL Gun Nuts, where guns are just tools, but dammit you are what you eat! 😀

Small town diner, chicken fried steak with mashed taters and corn, pie and coffee.

    Heaven.

At least in my case, Weerd, part of the reason for that reaction is that I had one of the ten worst meals of my life in an IHOP.

(And another one in a Denny’s.)

    • Weerd Beard says:

Their food sucks as bad as their service does.

Still if you’re in New England and you hanker for a Chicken Fried steak, there are two places you can go.

Still they also both make good omelets for a chain.

Just to stir the pot a tad (with tongue in cheek).

Ask a Texan how to pronounce “M-A-N-O-R”. If they are from near Austin, they’ll tell you it’s pronounced “May-nohr”. They can’t read, that makes their opinion on beans suspect.

If it makes you feel better, I grew up in northern Minnesota. I married a Texas girl after I got out of the Army and when she asked me if I wanted a “Chicken fried steak” I told her I didn’t like chicken. I now know better. Been livinf in Texas now for over 30 years and will never leave.
