Logic of the Antis

Too good not to repost. From Joan Peterson of the Brady Campaign.

The amount of rounds in a magazine certainly does make a difference. Tell that to the 3rd, 4th, 5th person killed at the Tucson shopping mall. At the least fewer people would have been killed and perhaps with more time to get away since the shots would not be coming so quickly.

And Joan what will you tell to the 1st and 2nd people? BTW you buddy and colleague, as well as likely all of his deceased classmates, were shot with ammo that had been loaded into a 10-round magazine. What do you say to him and his deceased classmates?

But this is why Joan moderates her comments. Arguments of the antis are for those who feel, but never think.

  1. Hey! She said “magazine” instead of “clip”! She can be taught!

Next we’ll give her a simple maze to complete. The cheese is worth it!

  2. Bubblehead Les says:

So she supports all Hi-Cap Magazines Being Banned? Wonder how she would feel if the Police Unions told her to take a Frackin’ Hike if she tried to make THEM go back to Revolvers?

    • Weerd Beard says:

No, because cops have to confront criminals with hi-cap magazines and “Assault Weapons” cops still get to be exempt from said laws!

Because banning hi-cap mags will get rid of them….except when justifying why cops are exempt in which case the streets are flooded with them….

Pandora’s box has been opened. Ya wanna go back in time? Well, good luck with that. So where should we set the wayback time to? Revolvers? Muskets? Longbows? Pikes? Really folks, you would have a much easier time trying to piss up a rope than trying to close the lid on Pandora’s box. The atom has been split. Semiautomatic pistols have been invented. Duplicitous polititians have sprung from the woodwork. Face it, the box is open. Deal with it.

  4. Braden Lynch says:

Of course, the quickest reload is a second or third weapon, so another logic fail on her part. Limiting magazine size does not impede the evil intentions of an evil SOB.

So, excuse me, but I might just need a high capacity magazine if 3 or 4 goblins break into my house. Nah, they are probably just trying to have tea and crumpets with me.

I know, that scenario sounds so scary, and it is improbable, but recognize the personal cost that I have to endure if I run out of ammunition in such a life-or-death struggle.

@elmo iscariat: I think she is too much of an emotional ideologue to learn anything. She has been bombarded by logic, facts, and historical lessons and they are ignored.

  5. Linoge says:

It is worth noting that Joe Huffman has thoroughly disproven the notion that “decreaesd capacity” magazines reduce the amount of rounds fired in a given time.

As usual, Joan is clueless on the topics she would lecture us about.
