Tam points me to this video
Now Tam covers the whole thing on carrying in cheap holsters. I’ll also point out that if you’re going to be open carrying its a good idea to dress as professionally as possible. Keep the Camo and para-mil gear to a minimum, also if you’re going to be rocking the Batman belt with flashlight, OC, med kit and other useful tools, keep the poser shit behind like the CCW badge and handcuffs. Also keep your bat-belt kit organized, if you’re going to hang a ton of shit off your belt, look like its meant to be there and you know how to use it. And if you’re gonna wear a nice gun with a nice outfit put it on a nice belt and a nice holster.
Still I won’t steal Tam’s thunder. My amusement was that the opposition statement was the hipster pizza boy…and he was fielding the softball of “Guns and Alcohol Don’t Mix”.
No shit Sherlock! There is nobody in the “Go Strapped when you’re legless” camp. Hell even the people who hate those 4th Amendment violating sobriety checkpoints aren’t pro-drunk driving.
Still hilarious was that they obviously needed an oppositional remark for their story (The police spokeswoman seemed pretty bored with the idea) and the person they found was the dorky hipster who probably hasn’t thought twice about the 2nd Amendment, let alone the gun laws in Indiana, and I guarantee would have NO idea what he needs to do if he decided to buy a gun today. Not to mention that I wonder if he’s of legal age to carry anyway.
To further add irony to the fire, do you remember who returned home to Ft. Wayne Indiana recently?
Dark times for bad people!
Of course, if one can’t find a good holster, Dennis from Dragon Leatherworks is there to help. Remember the Hilton Party at the NRA Con? Dennis took my order while we were having an Adult Beverage or 2. Now THAT’S Customer Service!
It was like a Dragon Leatherworks Runway show that night! EVERYBODY had them.
Jay’s been lugging his 242Ti in a snazzy Snake-Skin Flat-jack. Shame Mass makes him cover it up in public that’s a neat gun in an equally neat holster.
Dennis actually makes the Talon holster for the very gun that guy was carrying, a Sig P225. I’ll be ordering one sometime after my Christmas shopping is done.
I even have one of Dennis’ Talons for a gun I don’t have. 😀
Someday my 10mm will be back and it will have a nice leather holster to ride around in.
