What in it is Sexual?

Really? It’s come to this?

A 7-year-old boy is being investigated by his South Boston elementary school for possible sexual harassment after kicking another boy in the crotch.

When guys grow up we all sign on to the unwritten rule that you don’t hit another dude in the balls unless you have a VERY good reason.

Still while boys are young rough-housing can be VERY rough, and I don’t think there’s a man alive who hasn’t felt a good solid hits on their junk. The ladies seemed to be even worse in my memory.

This is no more “Sexual” than getting slugged in the solar plexus.

People can be so stupid!

I hate to sound all tinfoilhatty, but I’m pretty sure that kids are being taught that it’s NEVER ok to defend yourself (zero tolerance). I’m not sure what the reasoning is behind that, but if you graduate enough people that think that way, eventually you’re going to be able to make some changes to how people think about self-defense when they’re adults.

Not paranoid of you to think that. Some schools have taken ‘zero tolerance’ so far that they’ll suspend the victim, since they were technically ‘involved’ in the fight.

Love the comments there- “Why hasn’t the other boy been charged with attempted murder and robbery?” I agree.
We were taught in school that defending yourself was bad. And I’m mid thirties.

What I immediately latched onto is why the HELL are the words “seven year old” and “sexual” in the same conversation?!

They’re SEVEN. They don’t even know what sex IS, and they probably won’t even know the definition of the word “harassment”, either. What. The. Hell.

I’ve taught my 11 year old daughter that you a) object to any bad treatment. B) tell the teachers c) if other kids lay hands on her, try to escape D) if ABC don’t work, break their nose and kick them between the legs.

I’LL deal with the fall out.

Goddamn good advice! I salute you. You truly love your kids and you want them to become adults rather than the masses of perpetual children society will turn any unattended child into.
