DO AMERICA’S failed gun policies contribute to the terrible violence in Mexico? Alejandro A. Poire Romero makes a compelling case that the answer is yes.
Law enforcement officials in both countries acknowledge that 70 to 80 percent of the traceable guns seized in Mexico can be tracked to the United States. Mr. Poire Romero, a top Mexican national security and criminal justice official, offers additional evidence that the United States has been an enabler of the violence.
When you look at the number of guns traced back to America (note the Mexicans don’t submit weapons stolen from their own military, nor guns that can be traced back to other nations) and when you look at the number of guns the ATF admits giving to known criminals from Operation Fast and Furious, you’ll note the numbers are damn-near identical.
so by “Failed Gun Policies” you mean “The US Government Selling Guns to Criminals”, yeah that is a problem.
Put the officials responsible for this in Prison, and execute the persons who gave the primary orders!
And note that they don’t ask about if Mexico’s policies failed.
But like the wanton and deliberate actions of the very people in the US charged with enforcing our gun laws, those questions are moot.
Also Mexico does have Conceal Carry. However it’s about as rare as Canada’s (or New Jersey’s still better than Hawaii’s). Nice to see the endorsement of explicitly classicist policies.
Because the peasantry just can’t be trusted with arms, that’s the warrant of the king’s men and retainers.
So the lie is down to 70 to 80 percent. Great.
I saw this mentioned by Ladd. I had the same reaction. Just another attempt to try and distract from F&F w/ more made up numbers and claims.
Where do you think I found it? I may not have a twitter account, but it doesn’t mean I don’t constantly watch the streams.
Don’t read the good guys much because I feel twitter’s format stifles those who have valid points to me.
For those who don’t the limitation just makes it look more valid so the antis LOVE twitter!
How many AK-47s and FN FiveseveNs are manufactured in the United States? Aren’t those popular guns in Mexico? Of course, if the Mexican government (otherwise known as the Central Corruption Agency) wanted to stop our few guns from coming south, they could do it easily. Seal the border. That would stop drugs and illegal immigrants from going northward, so I don’t see this happening any time soon.
