LOL just found this image on Twitter
It appears to be a “copy” of the United Nations “Knotted Gun” Colt Python statue. “Copy” is in quotes because obvious the recipient and the tattoo artist have never seen a gun up close in their lives.
Still the big thing I noticed was the prevalent Red Star. Much like the Swastika the Red star has peaceful origins, but over the course of the 20th Century and now over a decade into the 21st it is a symbol of oppression, misery, and state-sponsored mass murder.
What always upsets me is that the Red Star doesn’t have the same social stigma as the Swastika. These days if you see a Swastika you’re looking at either centuries-old Near or Far-Eastern religious art…or something giving praise to the Nazi party. Even when I saw my first references of ancient Buddhist art, I still couldn’t help but see Hitler’s Herald.
Meanwhile you’ll see hipsters and celebrities wearing Soviet and Chinese military surplus hats and gear, and Barn Stars are a popular thing to pin to houses, and red seems to be the most popular color.
Vastly more people were killed under that star than under the Swastika, and the Swastika has far more positive connotations in Hindu and Buddhist religions than the more nebulous star…
Still good for him putting a brand on his arm (below the elbow too!) so that he can forever be branded for what he is. Fitting for a man with a twitter name of @GoodDopeGoodFun.
Edited to add this little Gem! This is what anti-rights people are like!

I wish more people would voluntarily brand themselves like this and make morons easy to spot.
gawdamnit, Weerd, I’m stupider for reading that tweet.
Some people must require remedial classes just to breath!
Am I the only one who’s always been bothered with how long that revolver’s barrel must have been to be tied in a knot like that? Don’t know why I focus on such things lol
You forget that I hang around with Jay G! He’s got a few revolvers with carbine-length barrels on them!
I have always thought the same thing. Maybe it came from The Joker (Jack Nicholson’s Joker).
Yes! That’s what I always think of, and I’m like ‘is that really representative of a common firearm?’. I know they’re trying to be edgy or whatever, but it just seems silly.
So you plan on getting rid of your Moisen-Nagant just because it has the Commie Star on it?
And Remember this: Lenin had a Beard, “Comrade!” ; )
I have to admit to enjoying the leftovers of the Soviet Union too, but I don’t go around wearing Commie regalia without any clue as to what it represents. But hey, so long as I can carry a gun wherever some teenager can wear a Che Guevara tee shirt, we’re good.
I know of a Jewish man who’s carry gun is a Nazi-Marked PPK. Hell the first military rifles the Israeli military issued were captured K98 Rifles used by the Nazis.
Its one thing to Buy Communist gear to celebrate our rights to own guns….or for capital investment in the future. Its another thing to say “Hey, this Tokerev pistol was probably used to execute political prisoners, isn’t that great?”
I know Soviet and Eastern Bloc people who managed to escape the tyranny. So did my guns!
Every time I see that bit of “art”, I think that a good gunsmith can make a nice snubnose out of it…
I am neither a hipster nor a celebrity, just a fan of Eastern Bloc/Bamboo Curtain cold war gear.

Yeah, you collect Militaria, ain’t nothing wrong with that!
You also don’t wear your East German battle gear out to public functions ….meanwhile this dork has a Red Star tattooed on his wrist!
“GoodDopeGoodFun” must be a pain to type everytime he (?) has to twitter a gastric event.
In the interest of expediency, he would do well to truncate his screen name.
I suggest “dope”.
