First, why gun control will never win!

But for the Asheville Tea Party Political Action Committee, nothing quite says true American like the chance to blast a couple dozen rounds from an Uzi.

People showing up for the group’s “Machine Gun Social” on Sept. 29 will get to do just that while raising money to support candidates endorsed by the group in the November election, Chairwoman Jane Bilello said.

“It’s a lot of fun,” Bilello said. “It’s a really cool thing to do. Our folks love it.”

For $25, attendees can shoot a 30-round clip from a 9mm submachine gun such as an HK MP5 or Uzi, while $35 pays for use of an M16 and $50 gets the firepower of an AK-47.

Machine guns are fun, and people are willing to hold successful fund raisers by letting people fire them. They raised a bunch of money, and nobody was hurt! Funny how that works!

Next is this silliness.

A military appeals court on Friday officially postponed the court martial for accused Fort Hood shooter Major Nidal Hasan while it decides if the trial judge can order his beard forcibly shaved, U.S. Army officials said on Friday….Hasan’s attorneys say the beard is an expression of his religious beliefs, but the unshorn facial hair is in violation of Army grooming regulations.

The Court of Appeal for the Armed Forces said all proceedings related to Hasan’s case are off until further notice. July selection was set to begin on Monday.

Its not like this crazy asshole converted to Islam in Prison. He was yelling “Allah Hu Akbar!” as he shot his comrades in arms, who of course were disarmed by stupid military policy. The beard is a ploy, and frankly they should just tell him he can shave his beard as he did for his full military service, or he can watch his trial in his cell, and then have his corps shaved after he’s been executed, and buried with a porkchop stuck down his treasonous mouth and a star of David on his headstone.

Two high school choruses will reportedly not perform with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra this year because their groups are not racially-diverse enough.

WSBTV.com reports that the Walton and Lassiter High School choruses in Cobb County will not get a chance to perform with Atlanta’s professional this fall as a result of the determination.

“This year, the schools were informed by symphony officials that their choruses are not diverse enough, and that the symphony would be inviting a third, more diverse chorus,” Cobb County Schools spokesman Jay Dillon told the website.

Local residents told the website the decision reeked of discrimination.

Racism is alive and well in America, and the people who claim to be the most against racism are the ones supporting it!

Then there’s this junk-science boondoggle:

State Department oversight of climate change spending abroad is a mess, watchdog reports…The OIG report points to a host of lapses in the way OES/EGC has supervised climate change spending, based on what the OIG observed in a sampling of climate change projects between 2006 and 2010, when the overall spending tab amounted to some $214 million.

The OIG sampling involved $34 million of the total.

The whole reason for “Climate Change” even being discussed is political posturing and graft. The East Anglia conspiracy was all done to garner government grant money, and the grants were given so that politicians to push their Socialist agenda on environmentalism rather than the traditional Marxist class warfare model. Its little surprise people are lining their pockets with government monies.

Here’s some good news:

A Pennsylvania judge on Wednesday refused to stop a tough new voter identification law from going into effect, which Democrats say will suppress votes among President Barack Obama’s supporters.

Its good for the Democrats to admit that Obama’s key supporters are dead people, illegal aliens, and convicted felons. I knew a few kids in school who didn’t have the funds to pay for their driving tests and fees so they went to city hall and got a Maine State ID. I think the fee was around $15…literally an amount you can easily get from picking up cans. I’m sure some states charge more for IDs because they’re greedy. I know my Massachusetts driver’s license costs around $50 to renew, and I think its closer to $100 for the first issue. That’s the fault of the state, not on ID. But really we don’t live in a society where you can function without positive ID, you need an ID to buy restricted items like cigarettes and alcohol, and while I’ve never been on public assistance, I can’t imagine they don’t need to see your ID to get the kiss in the mail. Sorry if you’re against Voter ID, its because you’re FOR voter fraud!

Not sure if this warrants its own “Gun Death” post, but its worth a look at.

Denver police are looking for a man accused of beating a bride on her wedding day, and then sending his roommate’s dog to attack her.

Dogs and fists aren’t guns! So this isn’t a “Gun Crime”, so the antis will ignore it.

Also this self defense tale is the reason why I urge for people to carry their damn guns.

A Louisiana college student desperately tried to fend off her killer by spraying him with mace and even stabbing him several times with his own knife before he fatally shot her, according to details revealed Friday in a guilty plea hearing.

Big guy with a knife and a gun vs. a small woman with some chemical spray. This is the Utopia the anti-rights people want for us. They are all for stacking the deck for the criminals.

And more anti-gun Utopia:

Norwegian authorities could have prevented or interrupted the bomb and gun attacks by a far-right fanatic who killed 77 people last year, a government appointed commission said Monday.

The long-awaited report into the July 22 attacks also said the domestic intelligence service could have done more to track down the gunman, but stopped short of saying it could have stopped him.

Anders Behring Breivik, 33, has admitted to the bombing of the government’s headquarters in Oslo, which killed eight people and the subsequent shooting spree at a youth camp that left 69 dead, more than half of them teenagers. He is currently awaiting sentencing.

Just trust the police to save you!

Democratic leaders in three big states have used this summer’s mass shooting in Colorado to push bills that would crack down on assault weapons and ammunition sales, rekindling a debate that has not gained much traction in Congress or on the presidential campaign.

In Illinois, Gov. Pat Quinn proposed that his state enact a strict ban on assault weapons, similar to California’s. New York lawmakers have proposed wide-ranging legislation that would limit weapons purchases.

California Attorney General Kamala Harris and the Democratic state Senate leader back a bill that would make it more difficult and time-consuming to reload assault weapons. The chairmen of public safety committees in California’s Assembly and Senate co-authored a bill that would require dealers to report purchases of large quantities of ammunition to law enforcement authorities.

Given that people are buying more guns and ammo than ever, they’ll need a LOT of luck to pass this crap.
