Clean Gun Zen

Ahhh, just scrubbed all the Colorado dust out of my PM45. It didn’t look that bad inside, but the little gun was choking more than a few times. Could also be that the gun had mostly been riding in my pocket, and hadn’t gotten a fresh coat of oil and grease before the range day.

Still even dirty, dusty, and dry, the little gun got rode hard by the various bloggers who hadn’t had the fortune of shooting the little wonder.

There is a lot to say about a gun in .45 small and light enough to tuck in your pocket, that you can shoot all day without getting a sore hand!

That is a nice little pistol.

Yeah, now you can see my, and FarmDad’s fanatical love of Kahr plastic pistols. Its almost creepy how RIGHT they got it. And a bit infuriating on how much credit the people who years after the invention of the P9 and PM9, decided to make guns in that line get, while people forget the old Kahrs.

Then again, there are a TON of well-known internet shooters who keep a kahr as their go-to pocket/backup gun. So maybe its just standard chatter of the latest and greatest.

Indeed. It’s very hard for me to get excited about Glocks or to drink the M&P kool aid. Sure they’re fine guns (save for grip angle and detail stripping the M&P), but to me the Kahr has been a great evolution into the parred back plastic fantastic design philosophy.
