Action coming against the no-fly list!

A federal appeals court ruled Thursday that a lawsuit over the government’s no-fly list can go forward in a lower court in Oregon…The lawsuit was filed in 2010 by American Civil Liberties Union lawyers on behalf of 15 men who were barred from returning to the United States. It seeks to remove the plaintiffs from the no-fly list or tell them why they’re on it.

The no-fly list is maintained by the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Center. It includes names and classified evidence against suspected terrorists who are not allowed to fly in U.S. airspace. The names are provided to the TSA, which works with airlines and law enforcement to ensure people on the list don’t board domestic or international flights.

The big issue with the no-fly list and the terrorist watch list is there is little appeal, and the error rate is HORRIBLE. Oh and this is the same list that the anti-rights people want to mine to remove people’s rights!

Disband the TSA YESTERDAY!

Isn’t this the same list that you never know your name is on, until you try to fly? Perhaps the control freaks could tell us when secret lists has ever been good for citizens.

The other day, PJMedia had a left-fascist commentor demanding to know why those on the no-fly list should be allowed to possess firearms.

He seems to have since dropped that talking point since the lack of due process was pointed out — and that the bulk of those on the list wouldn’t be able to legally possess firearms in the US anyway.

Every so often the ACLU does something useful. Bravo.
