“Gun Death” Axe Murder

Its a handy tool often associated with murder

The day before police said Tyree Lincoln Smith hacked to death a homeless man in an East Side apartment and then cannibalized the body, he told his cousin he had a “lust for blood.”

“He said he had gotten a rare steak at a restaurant in Florida and when he had tasted the blood it had given him a sexual sensation,” recalled Nicole Rabb, who helped police get a confession from Smith to the crime.

Police said Smith killed 43-year-old Angel “Tun Tun” Gonzalez with an ax on Dec. 15.

Yikes! Sounds like a touch of Renfield Syndrome, maybe we need sensible steak control…or mandatory Stake carrying? Of course Axes aren’t designed for murder, so this isn’t a “Gun Death”, so I guess it isn’t a gruesome murder or something….

Hey, didn’t your friend “Baldr” mock victims like this on Halloween. Very insensitive of him, in my opinion.

As far as axes not being designed for murder — that is questionable. They have a long history of being used in war and self defense because of their design. It is a killing implement.

Both the Franks and the Saxons got their tribal names from the type of weapon that they typically carried–the Franks had a throwing axe, and the Saxons had something much like a machete.

But there’s something clearly wrong with the man in this story. When I eat steak–medium rare for me–I like a little salt on it, some coarsely ground pepper as well, and a glass of good red wine, Shiraz, for example. I do not want a side dish of homeless man. Geez, some people just don’t know how to enjoy life. . .
