The Word From Maine

Maine has a Caucus, and Caucii suck and are stupid, so I don’t put much weight on them. That being said I happen to BE in Maine so why not?

Mitt Romney captured two prizes in the Republican presidential race Saturday, edging out Ron Paul in the Maine caucuses while beating Rick Santorum in a key straw poll.

Paul barely lost to Romney, don’t know the actual numbers, but think Romney’s Iowa “Victory” (turns out Santorum won that one). Paul campaigned HARD here so it doesn’t surprise. What’s surprising is Santorum did so well given that he did NOT campaign here.

Again shows the trend that people are simply settling for Romney, and the GOP deserve a HUGE defeat this year.

Funny thing is, news reports say that the State Republican Chairman has decided that 15% of the Caucauii won’t be allowed to have they’re Votes counted, either. Some were scheduled for later in the month, some had to reschedule because of a Blizzard, etc. But he said “It doesn’t matter, Romney has enough Votes that we don’t need to count anymore.”

So 2 Points: #1- I think Paul can now go to Courts and say “Ahem. Bush vs. Gore means one has to count ALL the Votes, you don’t get to Pick and Choose.” #2- WHO’S the Anointed One?
