“Gun Death” Eviction

Over Eviction, yep!

A Clayton County woman fatally stabbed her mother who was trying to evict her, police said….The two had been to the Clayton County courthouse Tuesday for a dispossessory hearing, in which a Clayton magistrate court judge ordered Guthridge to leave the home the women shared within seven days, according to court and police records.

When they returned home, police say the two began arguing about where Guthridge was going to live.

Guthridge took a knife from the kitchen and returned to the living room to ask Adu, 44, for money, police said.

When Adu refused, police say Guthridge climbed on top of Adu, stabbing her mother seven times in the chest, shoulders, head and arms.

A kitchen knife, something we ALL have at home. We all have heated arguments at some time or another, and chances are many of them are at home. The big difference? Most of us don’t murder people! Those who use the metric of “Gun Death” seem to think the tool is relevant. Have I made a case that that is bullshit?

Next time you hear somebody spout that nonsense LET THEM KNOW!

I made this point in a gun control discussion with my liberal roommate a while back, since he’s one of those “guns are different because they’re designed to kill” folks.

I pointed to the large kitchen knife on the drying rack a foot from my hand and mentioned that I could kill him just as dead with that knife as with the gun that was sitting on my hip. It’s INTENT that matters, and I have no intent to harm him or anyone else.
