I don’t know much about such treaties, but I’m always a bit skeptical about the UN accomplishing ANYTHING, especially on something that is held as dear as the second Amendment.
While I do think the President is both an incompetent man, and hostile to the 2nd Amendment, as well as the US Constitution writ large, I don’t quite think he’s THAT stupid.
But keep your eyes peeled! Never hurts to be vigilant!
The President can sign all the stupid treaties he wants to but it has no effect unless the Senate ratifies it.
We know that, but do the other signatories? Not that I give a ratz azz what the UN thinks whether in whole or it’s various parts…
Even if the Senate ratifies it, it won’t have any effect on domestically made firearms.
The Bill of Rights ( you know … Amendments ) trumps the treaty making provisions in the articles ( something that Amendments amend …. ).
This will need to be shot down, regardless, as it would be used as an excuse to screw with imports.
If a Government Agent comes to collect your firearms, kill him and all of his associates. There is no other way.
Also, practice head shots; remember that blue helmets make great aim points; and 12 gauage buck-and-ball loads directed toward the knees bypass body armor.
