This is a Bad One!
The 4-year-old girl who suffered serious abuse, allegedly at the hand of her mom and her mom’s boyfriend, has died.
Again, Mom’s Boyfriend. These are scary-common.
In talking with Buckman and Edwards, both 22, investigators learned that the little girl allegedly had been beaten on several occasions, the most recent of which was Tuesday after Toryn soiled her bed. The next night, Buckman allegedly slapped the little girl in the face when she started being “naughty” again. At that point, Toryn stopped breathing.
That’s when paramedics were called.
All these talks of “Safe Storage” for guns to prevent “Gun Death” rings hollow when people focus on the tool rather than the people. This house was PURE danger, tools are irrelevant.
