Hey, that’s Pointing the Wrong Way!

Have a look at this bullshit!

“No More Weapons!”

That is the message to the United States from none other than Mexico’s president, Felipe Calderon.

It’s emblazoned on a billboard made with crushed firearms and placed near the U.S. border. Calderon is pleading with the United States to stop the flow of weapons into Mexico.

The billboard, which is in English and weighs 3 tons, was placed near an international bridge in Ciudad Juarez and can be seen from the United States.

Calderon said the billboard’s letters were made with weapons seized by local, state and federal authorities.

The antis are pushing this as some sort of brilliant move. Still let’s look at Mexico’s gun problem.

First up the guns coming from the United States are Fast and Furious guns. The whole purpose of Fast and Furious was to sell guns to Mexican criminals so when the Mexicans catch the criminals they mail them back to America and the Obama administration will use the “Problem” to ban rifles. If We’re tracing the Fast-and-Furious guns, then they aren’t being crushed and stuck on a sign.

Still most of guns the Cartels get is from the MASSIVE Desertion problem with the Mexican Military (note that’s an old story), do you think Mexico is going to crush up their own guns they retrieved? Unless the gun isn’t in working order, they’d probably just return it to the armorers and keep it as quiet as possible.

This sign is likely totally made from guns smuggled in from South American drug cartels and from black market shipments from over seas (The big ones I hear about most often is from the Former Soviet States, the Kyber Pass of Pakistan, and Red China).

And President Calderon put this on the US Boarder? What a DICK! Your country is in shambles and you point a finger at US?

Furthermore This article got me thinking of this great post by Sean about an equally stupid message.

“Who are they Talking to?” indeed! You think the Cartels are going to listen to a friggin’ billboard? The ATF and the DOJ are now facing the music for Fast and Furious, so that was stopped, but do you think a metal billboard would have stopped these corrupt pigs?

Nope this is a political spectacle that should be seen as a direct insult to the United States!

I saw this and thought, “an email to Holder would have been much cheaper and reached your target audience.”

  3. Pyrotek85 says:

Yep it’s the same craziness as groups like Heeding God’s Call protesting gun stores, rather than going into the ghetto and protesting outside a crack house or something. They’re telling it to the wrong people, and the right people to say it to wouldn’t listen anyway.

  4. bluesun says:

Grasping at straws, yeah, but the worst is that I can totally see the media twisting this to support their narrative…

    • Weerd Beard says:

Given that Fast and Furious has made its way into the political Lexicon and is in the talking points for news shows that generally leave the gun stuff well enough alone, I hope the Marxist Media brands themselves by defending the murderous actions of the DOJ and ATF!

  5. JD says:

I think this one fit the old saying and Mexico should note. . . as they point the one finger at us, three fingers point back at themselves. . .

  6. Signage reply: No mas drogas y immagrantes!

Dang it, Tin Can, you beat me to it. Whenever Mexico wants to stop things flowing south (that’s a trickle, really, but who cares about real numbers in either capital?), they can guard their border.
