Vehicle loaded, nose pointed south….and I slept like crap last night. Too much shit on my mind. I might blog from the road, I might not.
Hopefully it’ll be fair winds and following seas for the whole trip to Virginia.

hey man…where ya gonna be, and when? Passing through or near eastern WV?
Probably not, and stops will be a minimum today as we have a lot of ground to cover.
Which side of VA? ‘Cause, y’know, TN is not all that far from the far, far, far west side of it… 😉
Wave as you drive through Richmond. See ya in Williamsburg.
Just saw the post on the blog meet hold.
Oops. Never mind.
Though we could use it to pay our respects.
Have a safe trip.
Be safe brother
Safe travels!
Safe Journey, Bro.
Travel safe my good man.
Have a safe trip.
Don’t wish for a following sea. In the days of the wooden sailing ships, a following sea made a risk of the aft gallery having the windows smashed in–being pooped–and flooding the ship. Nowadays, it makes for a rough journey as I experienced on the one cruise that I’ve been on.
But do enjoy your trip, and let me know if you ever travel to Arkansas.
On my cruises, a following sea is alot better than seas from any other angle, except for calm seas.
But, then…. we weren’t in a wooden ship. I bow to your knowledge on that.
Ar, me hearty, I be a stern old dog on the subject.
LOL! Powering your boat with the wind!
Yeah all my offshore work, following seas are the next best thing to a flat calm (another shitty weather pattern for sailers, who can frankly referrer to it as a “Dead Calm”) because you just slide down the waves rather than smash into them.
