Oh and if anybody shows up at my doorstep wearing just a hoodie as their “Costume” and expect candy, they might not be so happy. Maybe they’ll get an apple!

Agreed. Hoodies as a costume get ridicule from me and no candy. Little kids dressed as insects get extra candy. Not sure why but kids in insect costumes always make me giggle.
Teenagers wear hoodies to wall themselves off from the world. They also wear them to show defiance. In other words, they are teenagers, annoying, but not scary. But when someone adds suspicious behavior to a form of clothing that hides his face, I’m on alert. That’s life. It’s also the message that when people act like thugs, they get treated accordingly.
Somebody should do a CCW/OFWG video as a retort.
