Dad didn’t want any company. He was firm about that, it being two years this week since my StepMom’s death, and Mom’s death 30 some years also this week (they died within a day of one another, just different years) I’ll go out in a couple of weeks and surprise him for a week. Brothers are close by if he changes his mind, but he’s stubborn that way (redhead, go figure)
Enjoy the time with your Dad. I get out West as often as I can on long weekends at $1000 a pop for airfare and a rental car. It’s worth it.
