It kind of loses the point of being a small pocket gun when you throw the can on the end of it, Also the sights on the 21A are pretty tiny, and they get obscured by the can, and the wipe and grease seems like a bit of a PITA for extended range use…tho the can probably increases backpressure so it probably improves reliability.
Still its a neat little gun!
That hits me right in my “useless but awesome” button. WANT
Yep, same here.
I think a 21a will be my next gun, though without a can.
yeah, cans are illegal here, so I don’t have to fight the temptation.
I have a 21A and I LOVE IT SO MUCH!
No good reason why, its just awesome.
“I have a 21A and I LOVE IT SO MUCH!

I couldn’t agree more.
The first time I handled my buddy’s 21A in .25 ACP I said: “Now this is a downright elegant little pistol!” and my next thought was “I must have one in .22!” About a month later mine showed up in the used racks at the shop. Given that to get one it needs to be pre-ban, I had to jump on it!
So glad I did!
I carry it when I can’t carry my Walther P99. It slips into a little sleeve and then into my pocket.
I haven’t seriously carried mine (I carried it home, and have carried it to the range just because its easier) but generally if I can’t carry my 1911, I still have room for the PM45, or the 642, and I’d rather them than the little .22.
Not to say that little bastard wouldn’t do in a pinch.
